Labissiere drops in latest NBA mock draft for 2016

Although I wouldn't bet on it (emphasized for those of you who ignore qualified statements), I wouldn't be shocked if Skal looks at Cal in April and says, "I want to come back."

And you guys can spare me the rebuttal that it's an impossibility to even consider this. Terrence and Willie both returned when they were sure-fire top 20 picks. Sometimes a kid isn't emotionally ready for the jump.

Terrence returned because of the lockout, and Willie got hurt at the end of his sophomore year. I'd say those were the main reasons.

Has Cal ever had a projected lottery pick return? I would be shocked if that changes after this season is over.

WCS probably would have went late lottery if he left after this sophomore year. I can't recall any mock draft positions.

People made excuse that Skal didn't play high level basketball in last two years, then how could he ranked the 2nd behind Simmons? The high school scouts should know something.

Do these mock drafts just look at high school rankings when putting these list together? There is no way Briscoe will sniff the first round and probably not the 2nd either. Is there a team out there clamoring for a guard that can't shoot? I mean cannot shoot at all. Big men can get bigger and develop, ala Skal, but a guard if he can't shoot now likely will never be able to shoot. Verdict is still out on Skal too but #5 at this stage-not a chance.
