KSR just posted a video by Tyler Thompson about Jaxson Robinson's road to Kentucky including his high school, stops at Texas A&M (COVID year), Arkansas (apparently there was a problem with Musselman that he doesn't want to talk about), finally going to play 2 years at BYU under Pope before following him here. His mom and his aunt, who is a former WNBA player and current WNBA assistant coach are major influences in his life. How Mark Pope helped save Jaxson Robinson's basketball career

Does anyone know what the problem was with Eric Musselman and Robinson at Arkansas? As far as I know, he left Arkansas with his reputation intact.

I saw an interview with Jaxson on youtube, with some random guy (Can't find it again!). Jaxson said Muss pretty much kicked him off the team. Told him to go somewhere else. I think he said it was due to his stats. Pretty shitty by Muss but it all worked out.

It I did all work out. Because Muss was such a goober, he left. Giving a space for Cal to make a miscalculation and meet with Arky in a hotel room. We should really send Muss a Thank You card.

He just wasn't hitting shots consistently enough like he was brought in to do, shot 33% from three. But he didn't have a very long leash either.

I don't think Musselman's offense is a very 3-friendly system though. Lots of players who came in shooting close to or over 40% from deep who only shot like 28% once they got there. USC is around 34% as a team this season.
