He's been full of shit ever since his music career started. Cosplaying as some poor trailer park trash redneck while growing up in rich suburbia and attending a private school that is one of the wealthiest in the entire country and that costs more to attend than many colleges.I absolutely love when a famous person gets caught being full of shit.

AB will permentantly lose customers not from people staying butthurt over the ad campaign but because they actually tried other beers.
The bar has always been really low with Bud Lite.

Which is why at my house there is only German, Belgian, or Japanese (Sapporo). Mostly German, preferably Warsteiner, Binding, or Bitburger.
Kid Rock and Bud Lite is a perfect combination of poor taste in music and even poorer taste in beer.
Bud light was down 25-30% but in the end AB made $just over $32B and was up 1.2%. They own so many brands that it just shifted which line the revenue came in from.
That’s the funny part. I heard so many people say well I switched to this brand! And I’d say well they’re owned by a AB…

It’s hilarious to me that Bud Light left the beer lane to tell part of its consumer base that those drinkers are wrong for their beliefs in an attempt to grab new drinkers who don’t give a damn about Bud Light and it landed like a rotten egg on the beer manufacturer’s face.
To bring it full circle, that kind of describes Kid Rock’s career in a way.
Started as a rapper in the early 90s trying to portray a hard ass gangsta despite growing up rich. Failed miserably.
Incorporated some simplistic distorted guitars over those juvenile lyrics and found success for a couple years in the late 90s/early 2000s. His fanbase (teenagers) aged out by 2004 and he did a complete 180 and started pandering to rednecks with a half assed country/rock hybrid, hasn’t had a successful album since 2006-ish and is now relegated to the nostalgia or fringe/wingnut circuit.
He didn’t have any drinkers. Then found several and was on top of the game for a blink of an eye. The drinkers left after a few short years.
Then he changed up his entire gimmick to find some more drinkers and never came close to capturing the same kind of success. I say this as someone who owned his 1998 album and thought he was the drizzling shits by 2002.
