He averaged 7.7 points and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 53.2% from the field, 26.2% from three and 64.8% at the line.

This is easily the guy Cal will go after the hardest in the transfer portal…poor shooter from the outside and at free throws, always a winning combination!

I can't find him anywhere on the top Portal transfer list. Personally, if he is not in the top 10, I don't know why we would pursue him. Sad that Kentucky is not the place these transfers are fighting over to attend. We need all around experience and talent. Haven't we seen too much of someone who is good on offense but can't defend (hello Oscar) or someone good on defense but can't shoot the ball (hello too long a list to mention)?

Sounds like an older version of the dragon lol.

He's not expecting to start, 6th 7th man
Hope he comes. Probably won't find a better player that will come here to help add depth. I'd say most who transfer are doing so to get more minutes and a starting position.

Really hope Livingston and Oscar come back..

Wonder why we've heard so little about this? Obviously with the Hunter drama, then the Bradshaw to USC rumors, I understand how it's been oversahdowed. But there has been almost no chatter about this whatsoever. Not exciting enough for Tucker, Pilgram, etc. to discuss?

Or not negative enough to get BBN fired up and retweeting/posting their stuff. UK fans in general feed on negative stuff. You want to get noticed, post something negative about UK basketball. That’s why this board is infested by trolls most of the time.

You don’t win with defense anymore, you win with shooters and offense. This is the mindset that has done Cal in.
Disagree. You need to be able to score sure, but a great defense gives you a much larger margin for error on inevitable off shooting nights. We played like shit offensively against KSU and we were still within striking distance. If we had a better defense we win that game even with Reeves and Toppin scoring 5 points...

You don't want only strong defense to be sure but you don't want to rely on outscoring everyone ESPECIALLY in a one and done tournament.

We averaged 80 points per game the past 2 seasons. offense wasn't the problem. We couldn't guard. Even earned a 2 seed last season without being able to guard. The defense has been awful for 3 consecutive seasons. That has to change.

You must have both as evidenced by the Lakers win last night over Golden State. If it was all about offense then Golden State would never lose.

I mean if we surround him with shooting he would be perfect lol. It all depends on whether you believe Wagner and Rob can consistently hit shots

I don’t know why some of y’all prefer it but I’d rather not play 5 on 3/3.5 offensively every single year.

But he's a young 50.

We have only averaged 80 points one time ever under Cal. The Fox Monk Bam team is the only team to to do it. Not John Wall’s stacked team, not the 2012 National championship team,
and not the loaded 2015 team.
