Kerr has a Foot/Ankle injury.

In reading up on achilles tears, its quite possible to act just as Kerr did. I sure hope that isn't the problem.

I completely tore my achilles playing volleyball.. you know that immediately, and easily diagnosed on the spot by a trainer. Not sure about a partially torn one, but if they suspected that, doubt they would have let him walk on that in the locker room after the game. Pope said ankle/foot after the game, and seemed worried about it to me. Maybe they have an XRAY machine there at the arena, and were able to see something, but need an MRI to confirm.

Watching the replay, he definitely rolled his left ankle a bit.

If Kerr is out for any length of time, I think we found out who Butler's back up will be after last night.

Medical redshirt is if you played 8 games or less i think

Looks like it is no more than 30% of scheduled games. Would have to think that means scheduled regular season games.

9/31 is 29%, so if I'm right he just snuck in there. They are saying 3-6 weeks, but this surgery for a non-athlete would easily be 3-4 months....so he could probably get the waiver if stuff doesn't go swimmingly in rehab.

Would love to bring him back next year personally. My guess is he returns this year since the longer end would have him back in middle of SEC season

I think it is going to be team/situation dependent. Jaxson is likely to handle any tight/late game situations. But otherwise, I think we are going to see more and more of Perry/Chandler. We almost have to based on how Pope wants to play. Jaxson can’t play 40/game.

Hopefully, Butler is ready to go full speed the next game.

It's a Jones Fracture for Krisa. 3-6 months.

  • Post-Surgery (0–2 Weeks):
    • Immobilization: The foot is placed in a cast, splint, or boot to protect it.
    • No Weight-Bearing: Crutches or a knee scooter are used to avoid putting weight on the foot.
    • Pain Management: Pain relievers and anti-inflammatory medications are prescribed.
    • Wound Care: The incision site must be kept clean and dry.
  • Early Recovery (2–6 Weeks):
    • Follow-Up Visits: Regular check-ups ensure proper healing and monitor for complications.
    • Transition to Partial Weight-Bearing: If X-rays show signs of healing, partial weight-bearing may begin with a walking boot.
  • Mid-Recovery (6–12 Weeks):
    • Physical Therapy: Exercises focus on regaining strength, flexibility, and range of motion in the foot and ankle.
    • Gradual Weight-Bearing: Progress to full weight-bearing as tolerated.
  • Late Recovery (3–6 Months):
    • Return to Activities: Low-impact activities can usually resume after 3–4 months. High-impact sports might require 6+ months.
    • Monitoring: Continued X-rays ensure the fracture is fully healed.

His plus minus for the year was garbage. Seriously.
Perry and Robinson are fine at PG2. Cant be worse really.
