I’m as optimistic as the next guy, but the freaking 9-16 team was preseason top-5. It’s gonna take a little more than that to get me excited. Like, ya know… actual results.

We seem to lose almost every one of these preconference, big game matchups. And then Cal says we're young, they're not robots, I like my team, we're playing for March, etc. It's like if Cal doesn't care, then why should I? If these early season games don't matter then why do we play them? It's funny, when we win one of these big games everyone is falling over themselves saying how big it is for the program. But when we lose, we're told it doesn't matter and all that matters is March. So, which is it?
