Everyone complaining about the defense tonight should realize that Cal has told the guards to run them off the 3pt line. Give up the drive if necessary, but stay up on them outside. That's why they are getting layups. It's a calculated decision -- make them beat you with 2's. And it is a smart game plan.

It's pretty much the gameplan every year with Cal. Except previous years we forced the drive and we had shot blockers. This year unforunately we are somewhat lacking in that area.

Unfortunately as in the first half, he will jack them up whether he is hitting or not. I am ok with him taking the shots except for when he has an open shooter and he takes or attempts a forced bad shot.

True tho we have to consider the offense has more control over the number of 3 point attempts than the defense does.

So it helps us that Arkansas really doesn't take many 3s to begin with.
