Kentucky passing attack gets a little love on SEC network

If people will abandon allegiance to one player or the other, I think you would see that both strengths and weaknesses of each QB has been covered here. That, along with coaches decision/philosophy and maybe other factors answer the question as to why a starter hasn't yet been named.

I see real talent in both. I see that both have exhibited need for improvement, but both are young and I expect them to grow out of many of those weaknesses into VERY good players. This is a FANTASTIC problem to have!!!

Do you have a geographic, family, friend or some other connection to Towles? Because, it sure seems like it.

Nope and I even think Towles is somewhat overhyped and overrated by the media. I think he will the third or fourth best QB in the SEC, even if he plays at the top of his game. There are generally two schools of thought in football: close the QB competition as soon as you have an established QB so that players can coalesce around a leader; this school of thought may go with the QB with lesser passing skills if he exhibits greater leadership skills (my view); the other view is keep the QB competition open as long as possibly, giving as many chances as possible for anyone to take the spot away from the starter. This school of thought believes that the most important thing is to get the QB with the best skills. I don't know if there is a right or wrong answer, in fact it isn't just college football that deals with this, I read this article that highlighted those two schools of thought in practice in the NFL: http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bil...ryan_need_to_name_a_starting_quarterback.html

I think Stoops expects us to have an upper tier SEC offense this year. The defense will be improved, I hope, but not sure how much.
I agree about the offense. I actually think Phillips would fit into Dawson's plans, if Towles or Barker don't get the job done. Towles is the man.
