****Kentucky & NFL Draft Thread****

Bengals take an O-Lineman that is slow and weaker than Darian from a small school. What is going on???!!! Is he hurt or something???

Been a little odd draft for UK players. Who if any will get drafted in these last 2.5 rounds? I was really thinking someone would grab McCall.

Thru 5 rounds
Drafted:
Wan'Dale Robinson
Darian Kinnard
Josh Paschal
Luke Fortner

Could be drafted in the next 2:
Yusuf Corker
Dare Rosenthal
Marquan McCall

Bengals haven't drafted a Wildcat since Yeast and if I remember correctly, he didn't work out there so they're gunshy on drafting any of our players now.
The Bengals are gunshy about drafting players out of UK because a 3rd round pick from 24 years and 4 coaching staffs ago didn’t pan out? Cincinnati really does have the most incompetent talent evaluation personnel in football.

McCall only had like 9 tackles, if I recall correctly, I know he took up a lot of space but was not all that productive

G Chris Paul took a break from the Suns, went to Tulsa, grew 5 inches, and got drafted. Wow.

You’re telling me Dare left early to be undrafted?

I didn’t care for his sporadic play, and I guess the NFL didn’t either. Shame, if he stayed and WORKED, he could’ve been drafted surely.

It seems he had his mind made up very early…maybe even before the season started. Don’t think he was ever projected any better than 6th or 7th round at best. So he had no desire to come back and work on his skills. Hope he can latch on as a UFA.

I really thought a team would use a late pick on Bully. He was extremely solid against SEC competition, so not sure what he didn’t show to NFL teams?
My best guess would be that his skill set (space eater against the run who doesn’t actually produce many tackles and isn’t a pass rusher) just isn’t in demand with the extent the league has evolved to a pass first game.

We wanted Sauce and JJ.. we would have liked London but he got picked a little early. And needed another RB we were eyeing Breece Hall last night.

We landed 3 of 4. Garrett Wilson wasn't our first choice.
LOL, you sound like the ultra fan boy or sound like you are the GM in the draft room. Don't believe everything you read on the Jets fan pages.

After getting a safety, who will the Bengals go for now? Thought offensive line would have to be a top priority.
With the most sacked QB in the NFL last year you would think they would want to shore up the O line but...goodbye Mr. Burrow in the not-so-distant future if they don't

Yeah, I saw your post after I posted that one. Burrow needs to be protected and good things will happen.
Hopefully they did enough to protect him. Wish they had added a TE and WR. Hurst may do good with burrow. Higgins is out for awhile and Boyd won't be around much longer. Boyd had no drops during the season the dropped that ball with the game on the line. He's still been great

Really really wanted the Bengals to get Tyler Lindenbaum. F the Ravens.
Ravens had an amazing draft.

My Iowa Hawkeye Tyler Linderbaum was a tremendous pick for them late in the 1st round. The guy will be their starting Center from Day 1 and likely the next 10+ years in the league-- he's that good.
