****Kentucky & NFL Draft Thread****

This WR class is being billed as "historically huge/deep." While there might not be a Calvin "Megatron" Johnson type elite talent early, there are SOOOOOOOOO many good WR options this yr.

That appears to be true, and the Falcons continue their near 60 years of blowing their top pick on one I never heard of. 58 number 1 picks and I can count on 1 hand the ones deserving. It's hard to be this inept. But Arthur fleece the stat into building a new stadium and offering to rent it to GHSA 2 days for 600k, while letting some soccer team use it for practice.

I think you are going to hit it. I think Dean or Pickens makes it happen for ya.

Jets won this draft!

Grabbed Sauce at #4, avoiding injury prone Stingley
Grabbed Wilson at #10, and while Jameson has a higher ceiling, he's also injured
Traded up to 26th to grab Jermaine Johnson, who we had an eye on for weeks.

Killed it. Can't wait to win 5 games next season!

Saleh runs a killer defense, it was awesome with the 49ers. If they get the offense rolling, Jets could be a team that makes some noise.

I feel like we're going to see several Wildcats come off the board tonight.

Most will come in the 3rd round, but I think Paschal could slip into the 2nd round. Mel Kiper has him as his 57th best prospect.

Yep. Very happy with the draft. Jets deservedly a top ranked 1st round. All 3 picks can be impact players next year. Finally fixing a talent gap that we've been dealing with for almost a decade.

While we're headed in the right direction, we have a brutal schedule and a very tough division. That's why I still think 5 or 6 wins is about what we can expect. But who knows, maybe we can do a little of what Cincy did last year.

After getting a safety, who will the Bengals go for now? Thought offensive line would have to be a top priority.

They were pretty active in FA.

  • Bengals sign OT La'el Collins
  • Bengals sign TE Hayden Hurst
  • Bengals sign G Ted Karras
  • Bengals sign G Alex Cappa

I don't wonder just how much the need is on the OL now. But according to Walterfootball here is their "PRE-DRAFT" need list.

Team Needs:
  1. Two Guards: Make it one guard if Quinton Spain is re-signed. The Bengals need to bolster their interior blocking to take Joe Burrow to the next level. Signed Alex Cappa and Ted Karras

  2. Linebacker: The Bengals have endured linebacker issues since the Vontaze Burfict days. Perhaps they'll finally fix the middle of their defense.

  3. Cornerback: Chidobe Awuzie was one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL last year, but Cincinnati lacked talent otherwise at outside cornerback.

  4. Safety: Jessie Bates is the Bengals' top free agent, so the team will have to figure out how to keep him. Franchised Jessie Bates

  5. Offensive Tackle: Aside from Bates, Riley Reiff is the Bengals' most important free agent, so a new right tackle will have to be acquired if he's not retained. Signed La'el Collins

  6. Defensive Tackle: Cincinnati also has some interior defensive linemen it must retain like Larry Ogunjobi and B.J. Hill.

  7. Tight End: C.J. Uzomah is an impending free agent, so he'll need to be re-signed or replaced. Signed Hayden Hurst

  8. Punter: Kevin Huber's contract will expire in March.

My Bucs have the first pick of the day. We haven't re-signed Suh yet, and Wyatt was a gift when we were sitting at 27. Not sure the reasoning behind trading back.

If McVay thought they could get UT-Chattanooga guy at #104, nothing can surprise me. Unless he was just goofing off.

Teams are missing out on Kinnard. I hope the Steelers get him here at 20, but we'll probably go WR

Never in a million years wouldni have thought Paschal would go before Nakobi Dean from Georgia. And I love JP and knew he'd get drafted. I thought Dean was a monster but still on the board, for some reason. Love WR at #43!
