A couple of lapses but overall a decent half I thought

Do ppl in this thread actually watch the games? I see posts that Williams brings us nothing. Williams has 10 points. Then I see FT will cost us etc and we are 3rd best FT shooting team in the SEC. Free throws is not our Achilles heal and anyone who thinks it is clueless. We must improve on defense, that’s the key to us making a legit run.
This times 1000. In a road game that we were 5.5 point underdogs in we are up by 5 at that half. Thats always a good outcome.
Kentucky 47% from 3 and them 18% from 3 and we are only up 5 that tells you how bad everything else is going.

I hate that leg kick foul. They need to adopt the NBA rule if it being an offensive foul.

What team would that be? I think against the odds we aquitted ourselves pretty good in the first half. We're more energized and moving the ball well.
We need a whole practice on closing out on 3 point shooters without landing underneath their feet.
There are some that hate Williams and are going to no matter what he does. He had the best half he has had at UK. Great half bt Cats in a very hostile environment against a very good team

We all, however, let emotion override judgement from time to time, especially when reacting play by play. I've made plenty of dumb, myopic statements while wound up by the game.
Yup, people can complain about the calls, but this is becoming a pattern. Not every single foul on the 3 is the wrong call.
Anybody notice they asked each other at one of the breaks, who was the top dunkers in SEC history. I agree with Dominique being first, then they said Chris Porter second, lol, not. Then never give a definitive third, do they not remember Kenny Walker. He would slam your head through the rim if you were in his way. They need to do their homework before they look so bad, you can’t do an SEC game and not know he was one of the top three. He has to be at least second.
Gotta look beyond just the points. Amari has spells where he gives very little. Even hurts us. Gets beat on D and out rebounded badly for a 7’ guy a lot.
Having said all that that, kudos to him this game. He’s battling and playing fairly well.
Robinson having a great game for those who didn't even want him starting earlier in the thread.
Yeah his defensive rebounding is frustrating just because you can see how he should be elite at it and isn’t. He has been really good otherwise through. His passing keeps the other teams honest.
SEC officials have great potential to change the way the game is called from first to second half. We will have to adjust. Hook call was horrendous but otherwise not horrible.
