Kentucky might not win tomorrow

[
We have beat Tennessee 3 out if the last 4 years at Tennessee. Not saying we will but we've played well there in recent year.
They can win, it’s more going down their and expecting a win shouldn’t be something that we all do

Yeah they only played 3/4s of a 40 minute game on that one. It was a wake up call to them IMO. I work with several other D1 teams and I truly belive this Cats team is mentally prepared and has better chemistry than the others.
I need to see it for 3-5 straight games first, but they can do it.

3 seed very much still in play if we win this one. Even a slim chance at a 2 but I won’t get greedy.

No Thiero and No Z that game, not to mention Ugo has improved a ton as well, he logged only 17 minutes that one. I'd be highly surprised if we don't win. Team is in a good headspace and ready to prove a point.
Pointed this out before. Their best shooter went 1-11 in the first game. Likely different tomorrow night.

Agreed. And it seems it's especially true for this particular team. If they think they'll win or should win, they don't play with the same intensity. If they have their backs to the wall- at Auburn and against Alabama- they have shown they can be dominant.

The psychology of this Miss St game is good in this case. UK goes to LSU and loses a nail biter. Miss St goes down there and destroys LSU. Now UK goes to Starkville. Common sense should say...

UK loses at LSU by 1.
Miss St wins at LSU by 20.
UK should lose by at least 21 and likely more because the game is at Miss St.

I hope our team believes what I just said. I hope they believe it's gonna take their absolute best to win this game because anything less is a definite loss. If they believe that, it means they're likely to give their all, which means they'll win.

He said title teams don’t lose to teams like that, and Kentucky has lost to multiple teams like that this year. So comparing Houston and UConn to Kentucky is not a good comparison given if they do lose to those teams it’s only once.

Actually, I didn't say title teams. I didn't say "contenders", either. The guy you are responding to ^ read whatever tf he wanted to read and then created a response that had nothing to do with what I said. Started rambling on about what other teams did. Had nothing to do with the context of Kentucky basketball and the season so far which is clearly the point of my response.

We’ve been following every great performance this year with a huge letdown. I’m hopeful that ends tomorrow, need to come out and kill them early and not let them show any signs of life

Don't worry, Wagner will light it up in the first three minutes like he always does.

Less than a 50% chance. But it’s ok. This team is capable of beating anyone. Luckily the tournament is on a neutral court. With that being said, hopefully we can follow up a big win with another big win. MSU is a good squad
Why do you bring a negative up? I like your steaks but not your comments.

The Mike guy or sejonesey

He said title contenders don’t lose to teams like Mississippi St. It literally happens all the time There was no mention of number of losses a particular team has. Not what we were discussing here. JFC, learn to read.

We could win. We could lose. I would not be shocked either way. But if we want to start believing that we can string consecutive wins together then we sure as hell better find a way to win this game

Hubbard has 76 made 3's no other player on their team has more than 25. They must stick with Hubbard and not let him have open 3's. Hubbard is actually only 35% from 3 which tells me if you are in his face he won't be knocking them down. Must find him in transition and he is the one guy you can't help off when they dump the ball inside.

As a team they shoot 32% from 3 and only 67% from the line.

They rank 11th in adj def eff but we still put 90 on them at home but it will be a different game at their place because of the crowd and the tempo they will use at home and how the refs will call the game.

I am pretty sure we won't get the same whistle we got at Rupp vs this team.

Miss State was 6/10 from the line while Kentucky went 23/27 that went a long way in the 90-77 win.

We shot an incredible 23/31 from 2 point range at Rupp I am pretty sure that ain't happening at their place.

Lots of thing went right at home this is going to have to be one of those Auburn grind out wins if they are going to do it.

This is one of those let's see what you are made of games. After winning at Auburn and getting up 15 vs LSU they fell apart to let LSU back in it.

Come on Cats show us that you are made of a team that has now figured out the secret of how to win.

Tomorrow is a big one for both teams let's want it more.

MSU is nothing special. If this team is real they will get it done. We just loss 2 games back to a subpar LSU team. March is in the air if this team hopes to do anything they have to start stacking wins.

God please let Cal not hamstring Z. Sure Tolu a great big may beat him early but stick with him. MissSt ain't the type of team to be comfortable with a gane in the 80s+ and this team can do that with the right lineups. Cal needs to lean in to Z, split mins with Ugo fine, but no Ugo for 36 mins.

It is bad enough that we have fans rationalizing losses that some are doing it before one even happens. If Kentucky is going to make any kind of run in the Tournament, then you have to start now proving this team has what it takes to string multiple wins in a row in order to do so in March. The talent is there to make it happen, just have to go out and do it now.

? I’m saying Vegas gives us less than a 50% chance. Miss st is legit. We could very well win. I said it bc we all know how everyone on here will freak out if we lose again. And I was saying Kentucky has as good of a chance as anyone when the tournament starts whether we win or lose tonight

9 losses and heading towards 10 and 7 in sec in regular season. I wouldn't blame some for freaking out.

Good review. I think we will need to stop T Smith from getting 30 and control Hubbard as well.
I hope we do some kind of trap or double team on Smith and stay in Hubbard grill.

If we do I like our chances

We are so inconsistent. Putting two good games together back to back would be huge.

We have to find some consistency.

This trend continues and we will win in the first round by 30, then drop our 2nd game.
I completely agree my friend! I think from a mental standpoint this team needs to win these next three to gain true confidence . If we play competitive at UT and take a loss I can live with that. However, if we get beat tonight after a performance like Saturday I just don’t know what to say. This is the definition of contender or pretender game. A REAL top 4 seed team finds a way to win this game. It’s the most important game we have left…..have to beat these guys tonight

Smith had 28 in Rupp. He will get his, the key is stopping Hubbard. This one will be a very physical game, we have to rebound and get after it with loose balls and not allowing second chance points when we get stops. A lot of people yelling "Z needs to be in", not this game. The games where he has played well, it has been against teams without a physical presence inside and a more up tempo game. Not the best matchup for Z. Need Thiero, Onyenso, and even Edwards to play physical. I think Thiero will be the biggest key for a win. Onyenso will have to stay out of foul trouble, do not try to block every shot. He needs to stay in position, guard his man, then be in position to rebound. Probably will need somewhere in the 16-18 rebound area between he and Thiero. Also, the guars are going to have to try and crash the boards on the defensive end. It will slow our break down, but without getting the rebound, the break doesn't materialize anyway.

My prediction :

UK 74
Miss. State 70
