Kentucky Is Heavily Pursuing Uncommitted 5-Star C Caleb Swanigan

You really only get attention if your are being recruited by Kansas, UK, Duke or UNC so you have to drop those names if you want to be in the headlines.
Id say sullinger a good comparison except sullinger was ready to do 18/9 right out of the gate. But for the sake of accuracy swanigan is incredibly long for his height. Hes a hair under 6'8 but measured at the world hoop summit at almost 7'4. Thats incredible for anybody let alone someone that "short" in comparison. For perspective alex is a long athlete whos not even 7'0 in that category. Its wider than willies too and I believe the same as KAT. Standing reach of 9'1 also which is incredible for any height let alone his. Again, for comparison willie was impressive with a standing reach of 9'2.
That reach really dosent do anything for him, maybe helps with his rebounding but his girth is probably more beneficial for him. He averaged .07 blocks during the EYBL last year
He will be joing California as soon as a spot is made (he is waiting on someone to be Creaned).
poor man's elton brand? he was 6-8 and had long reach, just more defined and athletic.
Wow, I hadn't seen that measurement, but that is incredible. I figured his wingspan was maybe 6'10-11 at best because that's the way he plays. He doesn't use his length at all, but it will help him for draft purposes and as a defender if he ever learns to actually use it.

He didn't want UK after raving about his visit. The Red Flag is up so move on, I don't think his demands will be met here. Good player but let Conzo be his Chief and what ever he wants. If Cal signs anyone it will be a SF or guard.
Kentucky doesn't need anybody else. We still have more talent than most, if not every other team, and we have just as much depth as we always had before last season.
Still need a Vargas like player in case we have bad foul trouble. Also need a wing.
I don't know if "we" need somebody else or not, but I do know we do NOT need this dude. I've only seen him play one game, so my sample size is a little skewed, but I was not the least bit impressed. (I realize my opinion doesn't mean jackshiite) Hoping this is all BS, he can stay at PU or Cal...

Willis should suffice. I'm also curious to see if Wynyard reclasses and comes in the 2nd semester. Hopefully Vick comes to UK.

While we don't need anybody else, in my opinion, it's not like I would be insulted if we picked him up, and he could contribute.
You do know all those demands have been debunked as rumors started by an MSU fan.
I thought he committed to Purdue?? What the heck is going on or where have I been?? Also why would u want to play for Cunzo??
Sure seems like he is waiting for a spot to open up at Cal.

Swanigan needs to go be Conzo's boy we don't need him and his baggage! To many Red Flags here!
Cal is a non sports entity. I'm sorry--but this lady is full of bull$hit when it comes to knowing what UK is doing recruiting wise. Will say their desperate athletic department is willing to do anything to be relevant and it'll end up how it did under Todd Bozeman.
After seeing Skal first hand youd think he would be intrigued with playing with a better player than rabb?
He's definitely very talented, but he sucks defensively. Absolutely horrrible. He's worse than Okafor at that aspect of the game. Would love to get him though. He can be taught to play defense.
I agree its an unfair assessment...but still dont think he's a good fit. Sometimes less is more.
UK is missing some beef and that's exactly what swanigan brings. Add Vick or Murray and UK is good to go!
i think for sure we get Murray or vick ( not both) so if we could add Swanigan all i can say is wow . But i am not buying his interest in UK ...
