Link says he'd rather play at Cal or Purdue, and that's really all I need to know. If you're that dumb, well.. Go have a blast in the NIT.
What is the situation with California and their scholarships? I keep seeing that Swanigan is waiting for a scholarship to open. Is it that they just filled their out their squad and then he decommitted so they need to kick someone off or something happened?
I'd say Swanigan's camp would like folks to think UK is heavily pursuing him before he chooses Cal.
It seems every player wants a big time program to be seen as wanting them when they choose another school. We seem to be that school right now, it was Duke not long ago.
Seems like the UK name is always used to get more pub for a recruit even when he's not really considering going there.
He already picked over us on, dont think anyone is expecting him to choose us the second time. He can say all he wants but the facts are he didnt want us the first time so no one is going to buy that he chose over UK again.
Agree. Coach keeps saying Kentucky is not for everyone. If half of what we have heard about his decommit from Michigan State is true, Kentucky isn't for Swanigan.
He's not a power forward. Not even close in the times I've watched him play.

I say UK should not offer. If he were UK material he would have shown interest in the first place. Let him join others at Cal so they can compete scoring instead of being a team.
Seriously? The kid is a major baller. I would dance a jig if he signed with UK, regardless of whether UK was his first choice or not......He will upgrade UK's front court exponentially.
UK even being in the discussion just gets the kid more publicity.I'd be shocked if we were anywhere on his radar.He already spurned us once.

I think he is probably going to end up at Cal. and just wanting attention. For those who have see him play what is his strength & weakness ?
He's built like a moose, has good feet and good hands, better touch than you'd expect from a guy his size and rebounds incredibly well.
He's limited athletically, isn't very long, doesn't change a lot of shots for a guy that you'll likely have playing at the rim due to his strength and rebounding, and has seemed to struggle against elite big men on the all star circuit.
Think a poor man's Sullinger.
We weren't in his Final 3 when he committed the first time. I don't see us making a push now, but I can't blame Cal for trying if it's true.
Kentucky doesn't need anybody else for next season. Need to focus on 2016 and beyond
I wonder if we are in another situation where the kid wants to come to UK and always has, but his handlers don't. Every time I see the word "guardian" I get suspicious. I have always thought that Calipari is the best at selling UK to the kids, but not always the best at selling the parents and the guardians and the handlers. We know he isn't giving out any goodies to the adults and others probably are. If not outright dollars they are getting VIP access and extra tickets and other benefits that Cal won't give them at UK.
It's also true that players who know they have flaws do not necessarily want to come to UK and have those flaws exposed. This is a "best of the best" program - it's like going straight from high school to graduate school in any other subject - and not everyone can handle it. Guys who don't really want to be in the spotlight or to put in the effort to work on their games, whether it's shooting, defense, rebounding, footwork, or even public speaking and fan interaction, just won't come here.
I am very happy to have the guys who aren't afraid of UK and embrace the toughness of Cal's program, even if there aren't as many of them as we would have liked this year.
