Kentucky is fine.

What a pathetic loser of a post. If you want to know what a piss poor, fair weather fan says after a team's first loss, YOURS IS IT. Very disappointed in the comments today.

Maybe they won't find your pacifier. Either way pathetic, emotional outbursts win you no prizes
My initial post was a realistic take on the season from here after a disappointing end to the game. If anyone's injecting unnecessary negativity via a "pathetic, emotional outburst" in this thread, it's you doing it to fellow fans.

I’m so ****ing pissed off I don’t want to hear this shit right now. That was an absolute abomination to be able to win that easily and NO ONE is willing to step up. Not the coaches nor the players.

That’s the kind of game that can upend your season because the “what if” scenarios are going to be hard to put to bed.

I’d fire someone. Might just be the team baggage handler but someone gets fired today if it were me. It’s inexcusable.
Shit Grom, lol.

You have to crawl before you walk. We are experiencing growing pains. I know it is tough when you have been a perennial top 10 program that has a history of losing games we shouldn't. Wait wait wait! I am getting confused with basketball. Never mind! Lol
We crawled last year. It’s time to at least start toddeling.

The team will be ok, but the weak ass fans won't be. They're already giving up on the team and the season. Thank God there's a lot of great fans that won't get over-emotional and Legion of Doom after this game. Ffs little girls don't whine as much as these fragile fans
The true fans will hang around and continue cheering this team on. However, the bandwagon crowd will checkout for basketball where they can find some real disappointment.

Yep! I’ll be at the next two games (section 17) screaming my vocal chords off for the team!

The respect we have received from pollsters suggest that we are beyond toddeling. It seems that they have more confidence in the team than many of our fans. There is a difference between toddeling and sprinting. It seems that you think this is so simple that we can just jump ahead of the line in front of other programs who are working equally hard to build something that is real. If we were at home playing Ole Miss and won as they did, there would have been many unhappy fans with that outcome. It takes time to build something great and enduring. We want more than a Buster Douglas flash in the pan.

The loss stings, cause it was in grasp so many times.. but Ole Miss is a top15 team, probably gonna move close to top10. Those are tough games. No different than losing @Tenn or @Auburn in basketball.

Sucks. But these losses will happen. Not the end of the world.

Let’s revisit that tomorrow.
I don't have to wait until tomorrow. We didn't play great last week and we weren't punished for it. I certainly don't expect to not drop in the rankings but it is a matter of perspective. Some fans just don't know how to manage expectations. Certainly you didn't think we would be playing for a championship this season, at least I hope not. It would make as much sense as expecting your toddler to qualify for the Olympics.

Not the point. When you’re the better team (and we were) you win. I will be pissed when we beat ourselves. And we did today.

Didn’t expect to compete for a title. But at least expected to compete for the East. Still can do that but it’s a hell of a lot harder now.

Ain’t nothin fragile about being pissed off after a game we should’ve won.

Being pissed off is understandable, but disrespecting the team isn't. Not a one of us received a single lump or bruise from today's game which can't be said for the players. Certainly, they wanted to win worse than any of us wanted the victory. However, they will have to get over the emotional hurt as well as physical hurt and lace it up for practice next week. They will take the field next Saturday believing that they can and will win. They feel bad enough over the loss without the fans dumping on them. It would be good if they knew that the fans still believe in them.

Yes just won't ever win anything big.
I disagree with that take. Our football fans are finally learning that it takes awhile to get to where we want to be. We obviously aren’t there yet.

Kentucky isn’t like other programs because we are always going to be at least a basketball school. Stoops is certainly doing his best to make us a 2 sport school. Because of that, it is much harder for us than most other programs. However, we are getting there.

If we stay on this trajectory, Kentucky will play for the SEC Championship and have a realistic chance to win it in the next 5 years. Stoops is still our man. Instead of learning how to win, he is learning how to win big. There is a big difference there.

At the end of the day, we are playing the way a team at our level is supposed to be playing. Nothing that happened today changed my mind about that. Games like this are how we get better as a program. Soon we will start winning these types of games more consistently.

I’m not a psychic, but I know football. I’ve studied it and watched it for a long time

Nicely said. Won’t go over well today though lol. But I agree

I might sound selfish or foolish or whatever you want to call it but I’m tired of settling for some random bowl game that no one really cares about. I want to make the CFP and win at an elite level. We just absolutely pissed away the opportunity to do that this year and it’s hard to say when we will ever have as good of a chance at it. And until we win games like this one then this is what we’re always going to be.

I'm not so sure. Tougher games ahead. Today was one UK needed.

Levis poor pocket presence and poor O line play are not getting fixed it seems.
Will this team be able to put this behind them and take care of South Carolina? Something tells me the hangover from this loss will linger. I hope I'm wrong. Just get through these next two games and get to the buy week. Then hope they can somehow find a way to beat Tennessee. Right now, that seems like too much to expect.

Not foolish considering our history. Who doesn’t want to make the CFP? But if you can’t see us inching closer, I don’t know what to tell you. We may not get there, I think we will. We can’t let one game stop our hope. At least I’m not going to. Two steps forward and one step back is better than one step forward and two steps back. I’ll take it.

This will tell us how tough this team is. Stoops oozes toughness and grit. Hopeful they respond by trucking some teams.

If this team is as fragile as some of the fans, the answer is no. However, I don't believe they are like some of our fans. I believe they have a lot of fight in them and there is a lot more to be happy about before this season is over. It is part of building a winning program. Winning programs don't happen overnight and they don't quit after one loss.

That’s how you build consistency

Maryland didn't quit after a heart breaking loss last week to Michigan, so there is no reason to think that UK will give up because of losing to Ole Miss.

If we make the NYD6, that will essentially be th equivalent of making the playoffs . . . in about 36 months, when it expands to the Top 12.

Not a title, but a sign to recruits that we are relevant, going forward.

And there are few random bowl games no one cares about.

Here's a bold prediction for you. I think Ole Miss wins the west. Kiffin has wanted to take out Sabin for a long while and I really do believe they are built to do just that.

If the offense can just find that thing they do best then UK could potentially see Ole Miss again in the SEC championship.

Unfortunately, the loss today cements Kentucky football in the minds of many in the upper crust of the SEC and voters . Another west division road loss is like a we told you so even tho Kentucky outplayed Ole Sis 🍺

This is why UK is the perfect football job. Get paid 7million a year for a mediocre football team and fans are happy just to go to a bowl game.
Playing a top 15 team at their place in a tough game that came down to the last drive is mediocre? A 3 point game we could have easily won. That’s not mediocre. Trust me, UK fans have seen mediocre. But this is definitely not it

Every year the sane people that say we'll be lucky" to win "7 or 8 games this year, are the same ones that go off the deep end and give up on the team after their first loss of the season.

Games in which the same people think "we'll be blown out" and "there's no way we will win" are so "upset" and "disgusted" and claim "that's the curse of UK Football" when we hold them under half their average scoring, keep them out of the end zone in the 2nd half, and are in the game late with 3 chances to win it or tie.

The LOD doesn't change its spots. The fans that love this team and staff, and don't second guess them every week are going to support them because they love UK and appreciate where we are as a football program right now. The LOD is still stuck in the past and will be until they die.

Well learn from this loss.

This is so bizarre. So all the guys on Rafters that lose their shit on the reg anytime something doesn’t go well are among the more level headed football fans. The posters who lose their shit and overreact on the football board are people I don’t recall ever seeing on here before. What am I to make of this?

We are not done for the season, but everything is not fine. Our O line must make adjustments, QB needs to find comfort zone with new offense and we simply must improve in kicking game
