Kentucky currently a 7.5 point dog against Dook

I’m going to hold judgment regardless of the outcome. Baylor being blown out by Gonzaga doesn’t necessarily mean that they are going to blow them out if they meet again. I would love a 1pt victory and for us to not play our best game. Give the nation something to think about.

I am hoping for a good game. This UK team is made up in a way that many of you have been calling for, for years. A team with talent, depth and great experience. Duke is built like they have been for years, similar to Cals UK teams. They have supposedly great talent but, inexperience. I am hopeful the experience wins out this time. A concern moving forward is that Duke may have a higher ceiling. Their freshmen and sophomore talent may take greater (in season) strides than a UK team with players that are 3 to 4 years older. jmo I will worry about that in March.

Good luck with that BS.

A 7.5 point underdog? I hope by the end of the game Kerr is saying...........

I think that in this scenario with both team playing in front of a big time TV and national audience, I am expecting the first parts of the game to be sloppy and tight. Not comfortable with any of the betting lines right now. Too much unknown.

Prize Picks has more college player props than most regular sportsbooks.

Their O/U on points:
Oweh 13
Robinson 12
Carr 10.5
Brea 10.5
Butler 8.5
Flagg 17.5
Knueppel 15.5

There's also props for rebounds, assists, points/rebounds/assists and 3-pointers made. You have to play at least 2 props per bet. I used the app for NBA props last year and did OK. They tend to have higher prop totals than the sportsbooks since Overs are more popular. I've used DraftKings for NBA props this year and have been doing much better, so figured I'd throw $100 back into the PP account for college props. But there's so many unknowns tonight I probably won't bet anything. Robinson at 12 points looks good though.

I have no idea what to expect tonight. I wouldn't be surprised with any outcome - a small UK win, UK wins big or Duke wins.

Our guys have experience, leadership and toughness, Duke has more talent. If we contain Flagg and Kneuppel (limit them to 25 points combined) and make 10+ threes then I think UK wins.

I have the same mindset I had for 89-90, Pitino's first year. There's a big change of atmosphere and it seems a cloud has lifted. Anything above .500 is good this year. If Pope wins 20 games he should get coach of the year, considering he had no returning players and the tough schedule Kentucky plays. The way they have played in the preseason and first 2 games has raised our expectations somewhat but all things considered I'm tempering my prediction for this year. He's shown he can recruit well with the class he has coming in next year. Let's just enjoy this year because truly there's not much pressure this year. Let's not get caught up in draft projections or how many stars are attached to a recruit. We have a coach and staff that can flat out coach so they will get the most out of the players.

Did 2 bet Parlay. Teased UK to +9.5 and Teased O/U down to 152.5 and took the Over.

It’s way too early to get any true understanding of where either team is right now based on opponents played thus far. I have to think the line is based on the public’s interpretation that Duke has a returning coach and Flagg and built roster while we have a new coach and somewhat new roster. Public view is that our team is still learning a new system. I’ll comfortably take UK to cover (but won’t bet on us to win)
