Deep pass followed by a run up the middle is an automatic long 3rd down it seems.
Completely vanilla offense. 8 in the box and they run the bull. Good call Gran. Defense is putrid. What did they do all week besides not prepare for this game.

Coaching staff definitely didn’t have the Cats ready to play.
Sawyer Smith is more like Jake Bentley with all the TOs. A near sack fumble....so far Smith is just way to loose with ball. These are the reasons why coaches get conservative...you have to protect the pigskin first and foremost.
Between the Bowden drop and the Smith sack (for holding the ball too dang long), that series was ugly.
We have more yards more time of possession and are down 11 points
our corners. is the other glaring weakness. every team is passing for 300 if they want.

Also, Bowden should have had that for a TD...he slowed down.
I'm not sure that is a fair statement. He should've caught that ball but it wasn't lack of effort.
I would look away from Bowden and go with Wagner as my #1 weapon now!

He slowed up just a bit and it bit him again cause he couldn't recover enough. Smith threw that ball perfect. That's atleast TWICE he has done that and it cost us both times.
We just threw a 50 yard pass that should've been 6. Don't think that's a vanilla offense. This isn't on Gran. The play calling has been very good IMO. We haven't executed very well.

Other teams backup QB’s are better than any QB’s we’ve had in several years. Where do find their QB’s?
