Recruits may pretend that it means something to them that you are "all in" on them, but continuing to recruit other players at their position has almost ZERO negative affect on their decision. Every other big time school does it annually with every top recruit that they are "all in" on.
AK is a very talented recruit and we cannot afford to have him as our only QB recruit. If a decent level P5 school offers him a starting job from day 1, it wouldn't shock me AT ALL if he jumped right on that opportunity, no matter the school.
Patrick Towles being a JR instead of a SR has kept AK from recruiting to us already, IMO.
While that may be true for most positions it isn't so much for qb, qb don't rotate like other positions. they take pratically every snap as long as the ones are playing. FSU and UT are about the only places who accepted multiple qb commits last year, UT already changed one of their positions, FSU lost one of their qb commits before signing day. UGA has never recruited more than 1 qb per class since Richt got there. Bridgewater pratically begged for an offer but Richt had another qb higher, a big miss by the way, and didn't recruit him. The only year we took more than 1 was when Arron Murray came in and a lady who worked in the athletic office had a son who came in with him, but later transferred, Zach Mettenberger. QBs don't like coming in with multiple qbs, and is one of the main reasons they like to commit early so the dominoes can fall and 2 or more top guys don't end up at the same place. Either one of these kids is a very good prospect, the kid who decommitted from WV is probably a better fit for Dawson's offense while Kendall is probably the better passer of the two, but either one would be a great pickup. Of course everyone wants the kid ranked highest, but that isn't always the best fit.
