Go back and read the post. I didn't say all of a certain party does something. I said all of the people who do this specific thing vote the same way. That doesn't mean every one in the party. It means everyone who burns flags and constantly says this country isn't that great, sure as hell vote one way.
Regardless of what your political or religious persuasion is, and notwithstanding how you live your life, we all get on this board and speak our minds, knowing whatever we might write will have little to no impact on our lives, the lives of our families, or, as the writer Arundhati Roy wrote, our ability to pursue beauty to its lair.

Great points.....I also have a gay friend who opposes gay marriage , hates welfare, quotes the bible regularly, has a picture of Ronald Reagan hanging in his house and never votes Democrat. Unfortunately, gerrymandering has led to the current state of congressional representation that absolutely doesn't represent America. It represents the wing nuts of the extreme right and left and is not a good way to carry out true democracy. The moderate voter, poor and middle class are the great losers in this millionaires club grand design.
