Kanter stands up to LeBron alone...

It's just frustrating to see these guys passionately criticize the system that allowed them to become wealthy and famous yet sweep under the rug details of a system that crushes dissent, solely because of the motivation to make as much money as possible. The hypocrisy is astounding.

LeBron's criticism of Morey's tweet was that it will have impacts (financial and possibly more) on many others, including players (some of whom were in China at the time), owners, the league, and employees. And he criticized the NBA for taking a back seat while a lot of the burden of responding fell on players and coaches. It's a big issue for the league as a whole that requires a thoughtful and deliberate response, and precisely because of the money involved.

Right but it makes it clear that the money is all that matters.

You're seen taking up for the rights of young black men in America, and they buy your shoes, jerseys, etc.

You stand up for the rights of Chinese citizens and your jersey can't be purchased in the country.

LeBron isn't woke. He isn't a social justice warrior. He's just another guy out here marketing shoes. Whatever allows him to sell the most pairs, he'll do/say.
