Kansas

It is somewhat wide open, but the problem is that’s it’s hard to see Kentucky being included in any that
It’s not that hard actually. Have you forgotten about 2014? Unlike the last few years we actually have the personnel to compete. Defense is something you can fix like flipping a switch. Offense not so much. Either you can shoot or you can’t. We have excellent guards this year. Sometimes that mindset of starting over again at 0-0 can reignite that preseason passion.

Yes it is hard because 2014 and college basketball and now are completely different games. 2014 also had a sure fire star on it in Julius Randle, and elite shot blocking in WCS this team doesn’t have anyone close to that. The 3 point shot in college basketball has made everything more difficult for everybody, and Kentucky does a terrible job at guarding. Effort can help defend some but Kentucky is so bad defensively it would take a small miracle for them to become competent

Too late. A handful have already added you to their growing list of perceived Cal pumpers. I’m not a Cal lover either, but that doesn’t stop people from accusations. I’ve been here for years but somehow I’m a “Calbois”, Duke
Fan, “weird”, dense, “an idiot”, and what else have I been called just tonight?

This place is gone apey. Probably a good time to take a break.
Will never take a break. Haven'nt seen my handle blacklisted as a "cal pumper" and really don't care if "they" perceive me as such. I've probably been a fan longer than they've been alive. They probably don't even know what it means to push for Troy McKinley to shoot more than he did.

5 loss Kansas. Wonder if their fans are up in arms.
if it had been since 2019 that they had a great blue blood caliber season, dont you think they'd be up in arms with 5 losses already ?

our 5th and 6 losses are not in a one season vacuum. we are 72-42 since 2020 for 63% winning %..... unless the team goes on like 14 game winning streak , then its another season without being great. at UK, just like at Duke, UNC, and Kansas, you should be able to have 1 really good season and 1 truly great season in every 4 year period at least. but we're slipping bad

I'm not disagreeing. Just saying. I'm as pissed as you are. I was just making a point. Are they (KU fans) mad? The blue blood life. It's not for the squeamish. Expectations are highest with us, KU, UNC, and dUKe.

He’s dominated his conference for so long that I would guess that has helped him with Kansas fans. Could be wrong but that would have to help things.

Ugonna blocks more shots per minute played than Cauley-Stein ever did.

Kansas has a title recently, I imagine their fans are alright.

UK fans wouldn't be nearly as worked up had we won a title the year St Peters knocked us out when we were one of the best teams with a clear path to a FF either.

Don’t get me wrong, I love when Kansas loses, but all of their losses have come on the road in conference play, outside of Marquette in Maui.

The difference between Cal and Self: They are undefeated at home.

Our resume looks completely different if we take away the 3 home losses,

UK fans that are comparing our losses with Kansas losses…..please stop.

They just won a championship two years ago, and they beat us this year when we choked away a 14 point lead.

Kentucky fans have way more to be upset about than Kansas fans.

Plus we have a clown on the sideline who will do whatever it takes to assure we lose a close game at crunchtime. He is too much to overcome.

If we had beat Kansas, our resume would be a lot better. Still can't believe we blew a 14 point lead..wait, yes I can.

Anyone else noticing bill self slowly progressing into the “aww schucks, im just a good ole basketball coach” mentality the older he gets?

Maybe getting ur ass kissed by the media non stop does that.

We had no bigs in that game. With Ugonna we beat them.
What do you base this on? We have steadily regressed in our play since the bigs have been available. Ugo had his best game by a wide margin in a home loss to Florida, but had he been available we beat Kansas on a neutral court. Harris was who beat us for Kansas anyway with his 5-6 shooting from deep, whom coincidentally hasn’t hit more than 2 in a game since.

I was talking about ME taking a break. :)

People say it's wide open. Maybe but not for a crap coached team like we have that can't defend.

And uconn is way better than everyone else. I stand by that.
