Just watched video of Calzada against Bama....

I totally get the skepticism and I realize he’s in the FCS. His numbers this year were very good. 2nd in FCS in TD’s and 5th in passing yards. In his year as a starter at TAMU, he went for 17 TD’s in 11 games.

Again, I understand the level of competition.

Some FCS QB’s have had success making the transition, including Cam Ward who started at Incarnate Word. I’m hoping he’s able to have some success for us.

This will be his 7th season in college football with his 4th team. I mean, this is beyond ridiculous. 🤣 🤣

Do these guys even have to be enrolled? Probably has a masters by now

You might want to check his overall completion percentage instead of focusing on one game.

I haven't watched the guy play at all......nor have I seen his stats. Just jumped in to say that completion percentage is a very, very, rough/dirty way to assess a QB. There are just waaaaay too many variables.

Why...? Because he's gonna need to be?? Haha
Our Oline actually disabled a 5 star QB who had waited 3 years to play.
VDG retired because of his injuries. Concussion and shoulder.
Levi’s 2nd year the line declined so bad he was sacked for a safety and dislocated his finger.
He needed to sit some games out as he was taking a beating.
He better be able to run

If he turns out to be good then maybe he could petition for that 8th year.
I believe that since JUCO years evidently do not count against eligibility now, and since he only played in 2 seasons at the FBS level, he should still be eligible for 2 more seasons.
