A few days ago I made a comment on a thread about an incoming recruit and urging some people here to watch more game films that are available. Quarantining has been getting to me these past few days so I went back and watched film on all of our incoming recruits and here’s what I came up with:
Cam’ron Fletcher
- Tall & LONG seems closer to 6’7 or so to me than 6’6 or even 6’5 for the heights I’ve seen posted here.
- Active, plays hard, GREAT REBOUNDER for his size. He got on the floor a few times both games pretty good motor(think it can be turned up another notch that he isn’t aware of) Cal will turn it up even more.
- Was actually really good from catch & shoot corner 3’s, not saying going to be a good shooter next year or anything but definitely a positive sign
- Seems to play the way he knows he should at least at this stage(finisher, post-ups, catch & shoot,) doesn’t try to do too much
Lance Ware
- Kahlil Whitney level off the bounce at this stage(but I think majority of us knew this already)
- Does have great defensive potential certainly but I’d hold on expectations of defensive stopper next year at least maybe on ball Isn’t very discipline right now, I can see him racking up a high foul/min rate. (but that won’t be a detriment to us).
- No middle game whatsoever.
- Needs to develop some touch, also meaning he won’t be able to dunk on or rise over everyone at the college
- Rim runner, very active, and very high motor, very good rebounder as well
- Not spoken on enough on here and although needs to hit the weight room has a nice-sized base.
- Nice foot speed for his size can see him being able to guard some combo forward types and bigger college 3’s in pinches down the road
- Nice perimeter skills as far as ball handling, underrated passing ability and pretty good basketball IQ, can see him racking up many hockey assists (he initiated the offense A LOT for his HS team
- Pretty disciplined defensively, seems to understand some nuances of angles
- MAKES WINNING PLAYS. He does the little things and CARES about the little things that lead to winning. (His biggest asset imo).
Devin Askew
- Not a good shooter whatsoever right now, has good mechanics but release point fairly slow and isn’t quite as comfortable with his face up game as far as looking to score
- Needs to work on developing some moves to score around the basket
- Skill isn’t quite there yet
- Love the tempo he plays with. Many on here make a big fuss over his lack of athleticism which is fair but the key to PG play is pace and tempo more than anything. It’s how to use that speed and athleticism that you have if you possess not necessarily just having it. We all as UK fans should know that too well.
- Very good positional size for age. Can tell he’s young and body is still developing hasn’t hit weights much yet but still every bit of 6’3 maybe more, 190-200lbs
- VERY good shooter whether off the catch or dribble.
- His HS actually ran some sets with him off the ball coming off screens and curls so he’s wouldn’t be foreign to it all possibly next year
- Very confident love his demeanor and approach to the game. What you need and want from your PG
- Good out of PnR
Isaiah Jackson
- Very young some comes with normal young/ mental mistakes, forces things at times because of his confidence honestly. Sort of a give & take thing.
- Lack of separation at times doesn’t embrace contact( should come with more maturity as he has a good body to do so).
- Just has to keep maturing I seen a few times where he’d get frustrated on the court most times from things out of his control(accounts on teammates). Even I may not see this as so dreadfully negative per say but something that will just come with seasoning.
- SUPER DUPER bouncy love his activity. He’s the most active of all our recruits and it isn’t close.
- Plays bigger than he is. He’s every bit of 6’9 but plays like someone 6’10-6’11. Not only had length but knows how to use his length.
- Shot blocking is superb, love his timing and anticipation.
- Decent passer out of the high post and flashed some turnarounds from the high post. He’s much more comfortable there
- Plays within himself. Seems like he possesses a bit more skills wise. You can tell he’s adding to his bag but you only see flashes here and there because he plays to his strengths and understands his limitations.
- Actually has really good touch around the basket.
BJ Boston
- Plays with poor base. Wasn’t allowed to get boxed out because he was bigger and more athletic than most his comp. I’m sure Cal will be harping on that and Rob will work with him of course.
- Body. Needs to continue to put on weight, however I give him credit you can easily see the gains from AAU season and this past high school season.
- Struggled to finish at the rim at times when bumped or faced some physical resistance. But comes with weight room and getting stronger.
- S-T-U-D. As we all knew. Probably the most versatile offensive prospect in the entire class. Has so much in his bag, post ups, off the bounce, catch & shoot, off screens, etc
- Very good offensive rebounder and rebounder in general. It isn’t spoken of enough he’s been a consistently good rebounder from the guard/wing spots.
- Every bit of 6’7 can tell he’s really grown and filled out some as well which is a plus.
- Really improved as a finisher at the rim and just through contact in general. He had improved here the most in the past 12-18 months which is why I think he’s taken another step.
- Very creative ball handler( he and T. Clarke probably top 3 handles in the class). Fantastic in the open court and can get creative and find cuts and creases that most players won’t attempt due to that elite handle.
- Deep range ability on his shot while honing a very quick release. Can score in so many ways, which is one reason I know Cal loves him. He doesn’t have to have the ball to be effective and score. At least half the time the offense was initiated by 5star Amari Bailey.
- Plays passing lanes really well as well, which will be key. (Think Cal forcing guys to play up and aggressively because we have the size and rim protection behind us).
- Got that “IT” loves his “want to”. Plus he can close out games, you can count the moment won’t be too big for him in crunch time.
(I’m aware of the thread posted a few days ago about T.Clarke’s championship games)
- Shot selection. Easily fixable but a guy like BJ who’s confident and knows his ability doesn’t see he a shot he doesn’t like.
- Can take plays off on the defensive end at times. When he’s engaged and locked in he can be very good defensively.
- Can get out of control and do too much can be sped up at times.
- Has to clean up his decision making as well.
Terrence Clarke
- So damn slithery is how I best can define his game using one word. He just sort of slices and dices in the lane in a way, it’s a sight to see.
- ELITE handle. Boy’s got it on a string and knows it. Very confident with his dribble and is very creative with it. Great first step to go with it
- Dangerous downhill, a match made in heaven for him and Cal
- Great finishing with both hands, very good with creative finishes as well. Can adjust midair and switch hands to avoid having his layups blocked.
- A pretty good on ball defender already, understands defensive posture and wants to play some defense.
- Very good mid range game.
Like I said previously about BJ I cannot wait to see him and T coming downhill off dribble drive handoffs. They both are great attacking the basket. Clarke just has that something to him that when you watch him you know he’s special. When you watch Clarke you see n NBA guy and see a guy that will be in the NBA for a long time. He can effectively play the 2-3-1 in that order. His charisma, swag, and moxy is just a cherry on top. Kid’s special. This group mixed with the transfers and couple that stayed, man. It can be a really special season.
- Inconsistent shooter at this stage. Shows encouraging signs of improvement, expect it to continue here but he shall be a decent shooter here.
- Gets lost on defense sometimes when playing off the ball
- He can force things at times and allows the defense to bait him into taking jump shots at times as what they’d rather him do.
- Didn’t see much of a post game. Maybe scheme is the reason but would love for him to post smaller guards at his size.
Love Sarr’s passing skills, especially his passing in the post.
They’re going to be staples on this team and I cannot wait. I feel Mintz will be the X-Factor. He’s that kind of player that’s the glue to championship teams.Throw in Brooks and you got them all. LOL!
Seriously, though, I am looking forward to your take on Sarr and Mintz. I’ve watched a lot of their clips. Both look like good passers. Sarr in particular as a interior passer and passing out of the post.
I got a whole lot more stripes to earn on this board. But glad it’s being enjoyed. Thank Quarantining lolGreat Post! Obviously, you put a lot of time and thought into it before posting. You’re the Awesome poster of the day, week, month and maybe the year. Thanks look forward to future threads by you.

I’ll give you a little advice. Pics of hot girlfriends/wives in avatar or in a message are totally welcome and will move you up a few rungs a little quicker. Just make sure they legit belong to you. Don’t be like that uncfaninky and attempt to post pics of a fake wife or girlfriend.I got a whole lot more stripes to earn on this board. But glad it’s being enjoyed. Thank Quarantining lol
Actually going to take you up on this offer. Have a few of the ex, definitely a looker but put your boy through hell. LolI’ll give you a little advice. Putting any of duke, the cheats, loserville, ut, ku or iusedtobe on blast will also move you up. The program’s coaches are also free game and you can blast away at will. You can’t go wrong with either of these. Just trying to help you in moving your board cred in the right direction.
Most of them do, bro. I, luckily, found a good one. I was starting to wonder if they even existed. I’ve tried with women all from over the country, from the “girl next door” to a local, former Budweiser bikini model (who, I might add, my wife hates with a passion). At the end of the day, it was always the same result.Actually going to take you up on this offer. Have a few of the ex, definitely a looker but put your boy through hell. Lol
