JRob and Butler return to practice

Satisfying Space Launch System GIF by NASA

I have to think if it's full 5on5 practice, they could both be good to go this weekend or possibly even Wednesdays game.

Id still strongly consider resting them, alternating them, putting them on a minutes restriction, etc.

Sitting them out makes no sense. Neither one is going to be fully healed whether they sit out or not. By the sounds of it, surgery is imminent for both of them at season's end.

If the doctors have cleared them for full contact, why sit them out and let rust set in? They need to get back into game shape now, you can't just wait until the NCAAT to throw them into the fire, they won't be able to stay on the floor very long without needing a blow.

Play them and let them get back up to speed, they aren't 70 year olds.

If they can go Im team let them play, but if it’s not close to 100 percent then I’m fine with them sitting out still until they are as close to 100 percent as possible

I can’t speak on butlers injury but Robinson injury is very hard to play through. It’s literally his shooting wrist and it takes a couple of weeks to come back from that

Shooting wrist, that’s pretty much all I’ve heard? Do you have details on the extent or exact injury? There are wrist injuries that could take weeks or months?

We need them all. We need every win we can get. Not only improves the seed, gets players on the same page and puts more games between us and Kansas.
The all-time wins thing really matters to me. But I also kind of agree with SOS that you want to absolutely make sure they are ready for the tournament. Trusting Pope on this because I’m nervous either way for these guys health

I’ve seen multiple people say it’s TFCC sprain, which is another injury I had. It’s tricky because he can probably play through it, but if shooting is his best attribute it’s doesn’t seem ideal

Need them more for the Tournaments than we do these last few. Hopefully that is when we have them.
Got to play them a little to knock the rust off. You risk a ton if they go into the SEC tourney with no live competition before hand. Not sure Oklahoma game but maybe the Auburn, LSU and Mizzou games. Start them out slow, 16 minutes first game, 20 or so 2nd and then regular minutes the mizzou game. Followed by full out blitz of minutes for 4 or 5 days during the SEC tourney.

I get it, but if the doctors cleared him, he's good to go, sitting him does no good.
Seems like he just needed to give it a couple weeks to heal.
Butler I think they let go, his shoulder is gonna be hurting no matter how much rehab he does. Robinson is little more tricky. I’m wrong a lot but the vibes right now are butler is back Wednesday and Robinson is back by LSU

He actually shot the ball well in that South Carolina game before he reinjured it.
But I have a feeling his shot is going to be off after sitting for 2 weeks, that's why sitting him until the tournament is a bad idea.

I look at it like this we could be wake forest who has a similar record to us but because they haven’t played or beaten anybody they are gonna have to sweat it out making the tourney. We have good wins and can be 18-9 and still be in line for a 5 seed line

I'd be fine with that.
Once the doctors clear them, let them play. If the doctor's say J-Rob can't go for another week, that's fine, but if they say he's ready to go now, sitting him out makes no sense.

Vibes? Seems like that was speculation on here. That's nowhere near the practice facility :D

5-seed seems pessimistic. We have four games left and sitting at 3 seed right now. Bracket Matrix has us the third three seed and if we beat OU and LSU I think we are at minimum a 4
