I am excited because he wants to show off what he can really do. He wants to showcase his passing, getting out in transition, and admitted he had a poor shooting year, but that he knows he is a lot better than what was shown in that department. I love the fact that JQ trusts Pope to be the coach who can help him realize his NBA aspirations the best.
When JQ committed to Cal the first time, he was the player I looked forward to seeing the most from that class in the blue and white. If Pope really helps JQ expand/build his game, other transfers and recruits will take notice.
