Jon Rothstein's Top 5 college players in his lifetime - THREE Dookies

Michael Beasley is forgotten as a college great because of his middling NBA success and no March memories.

He averaged over 26 points on 61 TS% and over 12 boards a game. He's one of the best college basketball players of all time. At the very least, he's one of the best in the last 30 years.

Carmelo and Napier in particular don't hold a candle to Beasley. Their inclusions are the most comical. They are there because they won championships. Their individual output wasn't transcendent by any stretch. Rothstein's list is overly influenced by popular media narratives.

Some of you are talking about accomplishments apparently. Accomplishment doesn't make you the best overall player
If Flagg had played in 1979 against Bird you wouldn't know Larry Birds name today
Good lord.
That's enough of your foolishness.

My gym was recently showing a classic game. Virginia vs North Carolina around 1984. The talent on the court was staggering; Jordan, Perkins, Brad Daugherty.. And Ralph Sampson was the best player on the floor.
