As soon as Higgins gave UNC those 3 calls in the first half (no-call foul on Bam, trip of Monk, no-call pushoff by Berry), I stopped watching. It hurts to hear that my team lost due to officiating again, but at least my blood pressure is level. I hate that basketball has come to this but when certain referees begin to control a game, those of us with enough experience at this can see it coming a mile away. Can't do anything about it so might as well move on before it even happens. Looks like it's baseball season!

Cal should refuse to play any contest that douche refs in. I would accept the forfeit and BBN would have his back. Cal is one of the few coaches with the clout to call the NCAA on this BS. Someone needs to bring attention to this issue.

Correct. I told my family at lunch, Higgins would be worth 8 points. We were down 8 before the game ever started. So proud of my cats. They almost overcame it, but sometimes the deck is just a little to stacked.

We knew he would be the story, didn't we? Our 'Cats played hard. As Tom Leach said, the overofficiating was such that the coaches and players couldn't decide the game. Yes, we came back and were so close to winning it, but with 4 fouls on 4 of our starters that surely affected not only their playing time, but also their aggressiveness throughout the game.

We've lost heartbreakers that Mr Higgins officiated. After 2005, 2011, 2015 and 2017, we MUST make sure this man never officiates another UK game. As Cal said, "it's all on tape" and it's quite clear for the world to see.

The loose ball foul on Willis , The non call at the end of the half , the big push off from Berry , The tip in that should have counted , The NC player hanging on the rim while the ball was rolling around , the horrible horrible gift of a call for Foxs first foul as a walk on ran directly over a dead set All American. I though Mulder was clearly fouled on the layup attempt , the banging of Bam on nearly every shot attempt . Someone needs to do a compilation of this stuff .

It was more of looking at the history, hoping and praying there would be so much outcry that he wouldn't officiate as he had in the past, or better, be replaced. And if not, ensure that something MUST be done to prevent him from EVER calling another UK game. Because we CAN predict the outcome otherwise.

I was reading this thread oblivious to the dates. I was going through all of the following:
-this has to be a joke;
-there has to be a mixup on the first name
-there is no effing way they send that guy to Rupp
-it’s going to be a horrible environment.
