Every one of those kids were either McDonalds All-Americans or top 30 players, or in Willie’s case, a high 4 Star that was 7 foot tall and athletic enough to guard ANYONE on the court.
This kid is in NO WAY comparable to the kids you named. ACTUALLY Cal having to even consider adding this kid is proof positive how far he has fallen in his roster “development”.
Next year's first transfer. Calipari will never let him play no matter how good he may be.

If he shows up and makes a few 3's in the exhibition games everyone will believe he's Antonio Reeves and deserves to be playing 20 minutes a game like how the opinion of Adou changed last year.
Adou's first legit P5 offer was UK. This site wanted to mutiny because we offered him. Adou was always going to be a development guy. Then he showed up 2" taller than he was said to be, and played a little decent during exhibition games and the fanbase thought he should've been given a lot bigger role.
And no matter how good he should become he will be expected to stay in his place and get recruited over. Very little moving up through the ranks with Cal.
I've been high on Adou since I saw him at Father/Son camp last summer. I'd rather have him than Livingston any day of the week. JMHO.
I've learned that most on this board want you to pick a side and be on that side to the extreme. Everyone has to either be hardcore Pro-Cal, or hard-core Anti-Cal, and no in-between. Therefore, good luck with seeing both sides or trying to stay in the middle. It seems as if some have mistaken Kentucky Basketball for politics. Sue me if I'm wrong!

Search him on here and read half the comments when we first offered. Most are going to be negative towards it. Kentucky fans want depth, but they want the depth to be better than most teams starting 5. UK reached out to the kid and most of the tweets were negative towards the program/kid. They deleted the original tweet because of it.
People wouldn't be upset if we didn't have 7 players,Oscar and Chris weren't leaving and we were having luck in the portal.

We have 7 players, 5 of which have never played college ball and the other 2 played a few minutes here and there. There's legit concern here. Reaching out to second rate players that Cal isn't even going to play, seems like a waste of time, doesn’t it?
Also, there is no fine line between this kid and a legit power 5 starter. There's a hell of a lot of in-between there don't you think?
We're not expecting to see AD come in here to be a bench guy, but damn, can we get a Davion Mintz, a Darius Miller, a Hawkins, maybe a Lamb, or a Richards? Some guys that can actually help?
This is UK, we should have zero problem filling out a roster with actual contributors, this dude will never see the court.

As UK fans that have seen nothing but a complete clown show the last 5 years and witnessed a coach screw up everything he has touched the last 3 years, we have the right to question everything we see right now, because, if I'm being honest, Cal appears to have lost control and seems to be just throwing shit at different walls hoping something sticks. Problem is, his stool is so wet, he wouldn't hit wire if he tried to shit through a screen door right now.
No, I don't, but what I AM saying is, this kid will constantly get recruited over. It's the same shit every year, he's never going to play here, he will always be behind a draft pick. He might be better than said draft pick, but he won’t play over him.
It's even worse now with the transfer portal. Bringing 3rd shelf kids into a program coached by Cal, is a really stupid plan. He doesn't keep kids long enough to develop them.
A few guys have bucked that trend, but two of them (Hawkins and Willis) were Kentucky kids, the others (Richards and WCS) were centers that didn’t have a transfer portal.

I don’t think he will even be on our roster and you’re right, the transfer portal has changed everything. It is serving three purposes. First, players buried on a bench gets a chance somewhere else. Second, players under-recruited out of high school moves to a higher level team. Third, good players like Dickinson or Nigel Pack chasing NIL. I agree with you that developing a player like this is basically useless. Like I said though, I don’t believe he comes here anyway

There isn’t a perfect program, but you wanted us to pretend like there was a world where we would still complain if UK was perfect. I was responding to that statement.
There are a lot of programs that are miles ahead of UK right now. The fact that our coach is more concerned with feeding the NBA and catering to individual players, is the reason why we are in this position and he doesn't GAF.
He's actively recruiting guys against going to the NBA right now. 1 of them is more than likely going to listen (Reeves). Oscar and Livingston are different stories with a lot of shit going on in the background.
To put this in perspective though last year Purdue got in late on a guy who wasn't even listed on Rivals till they offered him. He was their starting PG his freshman year and

Heck, every school has years where they snag a guy in the 11th hour, but this is UK and Cal has missed out on great player after great player, while waiting on 3 guys that obviously don't want to return to UK. That’s a problem.
But even if those 3 return, there's still 3 open scholarships. Get some dudes, don't just stand there.

Cal could have went the ultimatum route but if he did, he would have been screwing himself in regards to future HS recruiting.
No coach is killing it in both the portal and HS.
