Score was 8 to 11, and he said Zags where up by 11...lots of mishaps for him last night.
Yeah, Ike??? scored and got fouled and yelled much more than Garrison did. Where was his T?
I like Jimmy Dykes calling a game. I like his stories about Coach Sutton. He knows a lot of basketball that most announcers don’t know. For instance yesterday he was talking about good teams correct mistakes during the game and not the day after. Most announcers don’t understand things like that. I just hate the buzz words he uses every season. This year it is paws instead of hands. Yesterday, he said it multiple times.
I really have never got the disdain for Dykes by some on this board. Can he be a little obnoxious with his violent cuts and jet? Maybe, but they all have to have their "thing". It's an entertainment network.
Dykes was all about SEC basketball before it was cool, and he's been our consistent biggest fan in the media regardless of who is coaching.

I think Jimmy's Jet hwas forced to take an emergency landing last night. Too much floppy action.
He is slipping up a lot more lately and I was wondering if anyone else is seeing it, he was totally lost on the kicked ball call on Kressa, among other things. The Battle thing was bizarre, he never used to do that.
He spends way too much time talking about something other than the actual games and is always trying to push his new "catch phrase" of the night. He got a lot of things backwards last night when talking about one team but saying the other teams name. I remember hearing him do it 4 or 5 times. Not a hater, but he is a little annoying. Better than some of the others though
His analysis last night was pretty much on point. He nailed our defensive changes early which some guys would have missed. He's pretty good at the x's and o's...and calls out players who take bad shots or make poor decisions. I actually think he's above average as color analysts go.
I've always thought Jimmy's a nice, knowledgeable guy who tried a little too hard with the catchphrases but otherwise a better than average color guy. This season he seems to have a little bit more critical and a negative edge about Kentucky that he hasn't had in the past. Maybe it's my imagination.
His heart is always with Arkansas and I wonder if our general feelings about Cal, and by association, the Razorbacks have affected his judgment towards UK. Someone told me his daughter (who I think is a freshman cheerleader at Tennessee)was running her mouth on X about us either during or after the Clemson game but I don't know what it is she said.

He was spot-on about our 1-3-1 going man or staying zone.
He also was spot-on when we needed the late baskets, he said Carr needed a touch.
He did mess up the kick and the T, but he was pretty good last night.
But who was the play-by-play guy who sounded like he had tissue up his nose?
Yeah I think he does it to kind of have his own brand. Everybody remembers Jimmy’s Jet!
