Good stuff. I like Rome even after Chris Everett wanted to tear his head off. His "__Guy" takes are as hilarious as they are legendary.
Mark Pope literally comes across as the template for what a contemporary college basketball coach SHOULD "look" ** and sound like
(I don't mean ** look like in terms of physical attributes - i mean the entire presentation , coaching style, communication manner and how he carries himself)

Maybe its a combination of pay and fringe benefits from sponsors and local businesses that makes it a higher paying job

I absolutely love the quote by Pope saying that people on the plane with recruits come down the escalator first to let Pope know that the recruit is in the bag because they talked to them the whole flight. I can totally see that happening, lol.
And I can also picture the traumatized look on the poor recruit’s face after he found himself cornered with no escape by BBN fanatics on an airplane for two hours.
You can youtube them. Gym Guy, Golf Guy, Softball Guy and many others. The stereotypes he makes fun of are spot on.
Funny isn’t it? Some were having anxiety and fighting it till the end that some wanted him fired. Now I doubt anyone would take him back even if he paid UK. I can’t blame some though, Cal is all they ever knew.

And to think people lost their minds, not in a good way, at the thought of him coming here. His previous two stops were not the best indication of his capabilities considering the recruiting disadvantages he faced. BYU can pull in a great player or two now an then but in general their roster consists of those 2-3 really good guys and the rest resembles Bellarmines roster. If we finish out this season strong and play well in the SEC and NCAA tournament, high level transfers will be lining up to come here and hopefully we will have the NIL resources to pick and choose who we want. The future looks very bright under Pope.
You can take your talents to Arkansas as well. We won’t mind.

This isn’t something we could brag about over the last time 4 years with Cal.
We beat Duke and Gonzaga for the first time in ages. So, for people like you to suck on Cal’s D*** after the first game of this sort is just extremely rich. Especially when Arkansas has not been very good either.

You are a joke. Your point was we were better with Cal. I have 2 examples in a very short tenure to prove you are wrong. Just because you paid to go to a game and didn’t see a victory doesn’t give you the right to ignore the fact that Cal sucked the last 4 years and left this program as high and dry as he possibly could. Pope has done an amazing job so far with the position he was left.
