Jim Rome: Pope on passion of BBN

Mark Pope literally comes across as the template for what a contemporary college basketball coach SHOULD "look" ** and sound like

(I don't mean ** look like in terms of physical attributes - i mean the entire presentation , coaching style, communication manner and how he carries himself)

Couldn't be happier about #41 having the reigns

Three thoughts:
1 -- Pope just knocks it out of the park every time he opens his mouth.
2 -- I want Jim Everette to walk in the room and punch Rome every time Rome opens HIS mouth.
3 -- Pope just knocks it out of the park every time he opens his mouth.

Dude i was stationed with in NE played him in the office - that was 1995-96

I was a little surprised to see he is still working

Radio "personalities" (thinking sports
Radio jockeys). -- do they make enormous money?

Maybe its a combination of pay and fringe benefits from sponsors and local businesses that makes it a higher paying job

Like someone who was a major personality in a market like Atlanta -- Steak Shapiro, Buck Belue, Two-Live Stews etc

^ are those kind of ppl making six figures you think?

I absolutely love the quote by Pope saying that people on the plane with recruits come down the escalator first to let Pope know that the recruit is in the bag because they talked to them the whole flight. I can totally see that happening, lol.

And I can also picture the traumatized look on the poor recruit’s face after he found himself cornered with no escape by BBN fanatics on an airplane for two hours.
