Good stuff. I like Rome even after Chris Everett wanted to tear his head off. His "__Guy" takes are as hilarious as they are legendary.
Mark Pope literally comes across as the template for what a contemporary college basketball coach SHOULD "look" ** and sound like
(I don't mean ** look like in terms of physical attributes - i mean the entire presentation , coaching style, communication manner and how he carries himself)

I miss when Rome was on the radio. Best in the business

Radio "personalities" (thinking sports
Radio jockeys). -- do they make enormous money?
Maybe its a combination of pay and fringe benefits from sponsors and local businesses that makes it a higher paying job
Like someone who was a major personality in a market like Atlanta -- Steak Shapiro, Buck Belue, Two-Live Stews etc

I didn’t know this guy still had a show. Haven’t heard his name mentioned in like 7-8 years.
I absolutely love the quote by Pope saying that people on the plane with recruits come down the escalator first to let Pope know that the recruit is in the bag because they talked to them the whole flight. I can totally see that happening, lol.
And I can also picture the traumatized look on the poor recruit’s face after he found himself cornered with no escape by BBN fanatics on an airplane for two hours.
You can youtube them. Gym Guy, Golf Guy, Softball Guy and many others. The stereotypes he makes fun of are spot on.
