And you can never have too many shooters. There's no such thing.Hell, take all 3 if you can get them. One can play PG, one SG and Johnson is big enough to play SF.
Some hints in this week's media reports suggest Calipari might end up with 2 of them. We don't know what Adebayo, Humphries, Bamba, Knox will do. So it's still uncertain how many scholarships are open. I think Cameron Johnson will probably come to Kentucky if Knox doesn't. Wouldn't be surprised if Calipari signs Baker too. I don't see Smith coming to Kentucky.Well it gets interesting now.Baker,Johnson and Smith all have offers.Curious to see who commits.
Lamb was also 6'4 and Baker is 6'2
Can't remember what Lambs wingspan was.
If baker comes in and shots 47% from 3 for a career...that would be nice.
Scout 6'2" 165ESPN's recruiting page lists Baker as 6'4.
Scout 6'2" 165

Scout is always slow about updating so I'd say he's in the 6'3"ish range over 6'2".. And I don't believe he'll be Lamb 2.0..Well alright then. So maybe he is D Lamb lol.
I agree with this. Lamb was a top 25 player. Baker will be a solid 3-4 yr player like shai will be. The thing that makes baker even more compelling is hes a lights out shooter. He could be a 3 star guy but if he can shoot as we'll as they say he can, then his 4 star ranking goes out the window. The only time I get excited about a guy ranked where he is, id if he is known to be a deadly shooter which is what he supposed to be. After a yr or two at uk competing with the best of the best in practice he could be a big time stud by the time he hits his junior yr, if not before thatIf we get Baker and you're expecting him to play the way Lamb did as a freshman you're going to be dissapointed.
I feel like I've read that somewhere beforeAnd you can never have too many shooters. There's no such thing.
Should be noted Baker was the leading scorer on the UA AAU circuit, ahead of Duval. If you prefer watching games to highlight tapes, link below is to a full game from the AAU Summer circuit between Earl Watson Elite and We R1. Baker is No. 13 for EWE, Trevon Duval is No. 1 for We R1. They both have great games in this one.
Thanks for the post I now believe this kid will contribute next season if he comes here. He has decent enough handle to run the pg some for his team. I like this kid he has ok speed. Not sure why the kid isn't ranked higher 2 more inches of height and and a touch more athleticism and he would be a top 30 kid. This is a perfect kinda kid for us a 3 to 4 year kid. He looks quick enough that he should be able to defend he isn't going to leap out of the gym. Here is an honest comparison for us. Julius Mays. Won't contribute as much as Mays did for the season he won't get enough minutes. But he will have a game or 2 he will surprise everyone. Shoots off the dribble fairly well and a fairly quick release. Now I haven't seen the Smith kid yet so not sure of the 2 who I preferIf you prefer watching games to highlight tapes, link below is to a full game from the AAU Summer circuit between Earl Watson Elite and We R1. If we make it to the E8 you can bet a lot of money that Emmert will have Higgins working our game.http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/...ntucky-transfer-Michigan/stories/201704070195
Good article on johnson and the likelihood he will be a cat.
We need these two and throw in a mark smith and bamba and we are on the brink of a final four as long as Higgins isn't involved

So let's just say 6'3" 178..
Neither Baker nor Smith will probably contribute next year to a great extent. I lean toward Baker because he is reputed to be the better shooter
