2017 Olineman out of Lafayette, top performing OL at the camp ahead of 2016 5-star #9 rated overall player Gregory Little. Seems like a good chance Wills gets a 5th star soon.

3 OL
Jedrick Wills (2017)
Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette
Wills lined up at right tackle and took control over almost every defensive end and every kind of defensive end, too. Fast guys trying to get the edge were handled. Power players attempting to go right through Wills or ripping inside were taken care of as well. The 2017 prospect has nice size, excellent feet, he sets well and then extends his arms and controls almost every rep.

It's very possible that UK has one of the elite offensive lines in the country in a couple of years, maybe 3 years. Getting this kid would be huge.

That's big time. He's ahead of Greg Little and Michael Onwenu, both studs of the 16 class as a junior. Really hope we can land him.

I haven't seen much yet in the way of public comments about where Willis' sentiments lie, but this kid is going to be recruited hard by every major college football program. We were fortunate to get early commitments from Drake Jackson and Landon Young. I doubt that will be the case with Willis, whose recruitment could go down to the wire.

Any reports on how Young/Jackson did?
They did well. Young repeatedly beat a very talented Ohio State DE commit (Cooper). Zero doubt KY is building the best Oline roster its ever had. Yes, EVER had. On paper, several of these guys will be playing on Sunday's. KY has struggled mightily getting Olineman into the NFL. Just wish there were more of these caliber in-state guys who played on the Dline as well.

Hopefully, having Jackson and Young will make UK's recruiting pitch a little better.
Playing in the SEC, you are not going to be missed by the NFL. With him, playing with Jackson and Young, UK could have a dominant o line. That would be a good selling point to battle against the big boys' recruiting pitch.

His parents want him to go to UK and he has developed ties with Jackson and Young. You still have to believe that it will be a marathon for his services but at least we start out slightly ahead of the pack.

As of right now he is at the top of my want list for 2017. Wills is an absolute beast.

Yes, it would be a good selling point. But the ranked programs have effective selling points, too. Jackson and Young made very early commitments to Kentucky. I don't see any signs that Willis is about to do that. Willis will receive offers from the significant SEC schools, Ohio State, so forth. I'm curious whether any of our posters here have any direct knowledge about Willis' college intentions. If not, I suspect Willis' recruitment will go down to the wire. This is the kind of highly competitive recruiting situation that Stoops will win more often than not, but not always.

Our OL will be a force in a couple of years. Stoops knows games are won in the trenches. And we are building something special on both sides of the line. Practices between our starters on OL and DL will be fun to watch over the coming seasons.

I really hope we get this kid. Having Willis,Young, and Jackson would be huge, 3 Kentucky boys helping anchor down the offensive line is awesome. It's great pub for the state.

We HAVE GOT TO sign this kid and kids like him if we are EVER going to climb the SEC. He is a MUST recruit for the O-Line.

I think it's only a matter of when we get him more than if we will. Parents want him to be at UK and he's very close to Young. He'll probably enjoy the process for a while but I'm confident Stoops will seal the deal in the end. Jedrick being so close he'll have a chance to visit UK a lot

Fingers crossed.

I am not typically a spell check guy but I keep seeing it over and over and it is starting to bother me. His name is Wills, not Willis.

Add George A-A to that list and it really becomes impressive. Sure would like to add Wills.

It seems that the Kentucky high schools are turning out a better grade of recruits recently. The southern part of Ohio becoming a fertile UK recruiting ground like it should have always been considering its proximity to Lexington is almost like we have a bigger instate recruiting area. There is a lot of good football player coming out of the Cincinnati metro area and it is less than a hundred miles from Lexington. I think it is even closer to Lexington than it is to OSU in Columbus

When you build a house ... priority #1 is a plan #2 getting a big dozer...

Young (2016) and Wills (2017) - Lex Lafayette
Jackson (2016) - Woodford County

Per the rivals site camp, he was not the no. 3 overall or # 3 offensive performer, he was the # 3 underclassman performer, and the #11 ranked performer overall at the Rivals 5 Star Challenge. Just to be clear on where he was actually ranked.

He has a ton of offers, he still has 2 more years of HS ball to play.

Im sure people were really confused by following the link provided where it ranked him the #3 offensive performer in the camp, thanks for clearing everything up.

And? I never refuted any of that, but you did try to claim that Wills was not rated as the #3 offensive performer, which is clearly wrong. Both of your links were also released 2-3 days after this thread was created and would have been great additions to the discussion, instead you chose to make a fool of yourself and try to argue something that was clearly linked in the original post.
