Beckwith received a few reps at RB late in the spring scrimmage against the backup defense because Wright and Jefferson were out with injuries and Stoops had already seen what he needed to see from Davis and McClain (didn't want to risk an injury late in the scrimmage). Beckwith mainly practiced as a receiver this spring. He is 6'5' tall, so you will never see him play a signifigant snap as a RB in a game unless it is an emergency. They have Beckwith at RB and he did quite well in the scrimage according to Coen.
However, I do not believe Stoops will take another RB out of the portal unless a current UK RB transfers out. With Davis, McClain, Jefferson, Wright, and Wilcox, our RB room is talented and full. We also have PFO Isaac Dixon who was the best football player in the eastern half of the state as a hs senior and is more than capable of playing a few snaps if called upon.
