Went down a youtube hole of Jaland Lowe highlights and games. Observations.
His Pitt team last year was pretty bad. They actually hung in there on their season for a bit and then let go of the rope later on. You could tell the team had lost its mojo about halfway through the ACC season. Had to have affected him to some degree.
He's really good running the show. Probably better than Butler as a pure PG. Not as athletic as Butler(he was sneaky bouncy and his combine stats backed that up) but has better court vision. Definitely not the on ball defender Butler is but really not many PGs are. Crafty in the lane and can finish with both hands.
I'm not worried about his outside shooting at all. He was forced to take a ton of deep threes for Pitt last year.
Jeff Capel is a terrible coach. Their offense sucked. He should definitely experience the Pope bump that Butler got last year in his offensive numbers.
He's not afraid to take big shots.
Really excited to see him rep the Kentucky shirt next year.
