Just got a small glimpse, a hint, of what could've been. Guy was a 1000+ yard receiver in '23. Good luck to him, hope he finds what he's looking for.
He was a thousand yard WR we didn’t even use. I don’t blame him. He’s going to go somewhere and be awesome and we are going to look stupid

Lead the team with td catches even though he only caught 15 balls. Lmao you cant make that up.
I didn't see him tweet anything so maybe he posted it on ig or something. I did see he retweeted something about burden at mizzou going pro. So im guessing thats where hes targeting.
That sucks . Guy played hard , seemed like he cared - bad sign he must think Mr Stoops is hanging around 
He and Hardly Gilmour and maybe Brown Stevens are the only three i would keep. I hate to lose him.. he has a ton of potential.. wish him well.
He was criminally under-utilized.... He had to be so that Barion Brown could get more balls thrown his way.
If you take NIL out of the picture, it's mindboggling to me why QBs, WRs or pass catching TEs would want to come to UK to play for Stoops. There's 12 years of evidence for how that will end up for any of them. It's staring you right in the face, plain as day.
When I heard we got Barion and held off Bama to get him I jumped in the air! He is a very good kick off specialist, but in todays world where most of the balls go into the end zone that is not as special. He didnt get any stronger, and he really didnt improve on his pass catching abilities. I truly hate losing Macklin.
And every one of them was from Gavin. You can't make this shit up. BV simply would not throw him the ball or even look his way. Well other than Dane Key he pretty much ignored all of the other WR's. It is a damn shame we will lose a great WR like Maclin. Mark my words, he will be a STUD where ever he lands. He was the most talented WR we had and the coaches simply failed him.
Macklin going is a hit. He stated what he saw as being a problem, he could have been part of the solution as a senior leader. To be honest, if Stoops is going to insist on being a ground and pound grind it out coach, then he just needs to stick to that philosophy and hope defense can keep the high powered offenses from racking up points. Go find the best 2-3 RB's and a stout OL and go back to what we had when we won 10 games and a Citrus Bowl.

He was a good underutilized receiver, but an awful punt returner. He rarely fielded a punt and looked like he didn’t know what he was doing. That is on the special teams coach
Macklin was great at beating defenders for the ball. Astonishing how little we threw to him. Key and Macklin should have been the top targets. How much of our WR issues is coaching or lack of recruiting guys fast enough with great hands?
Titans have a situation like that. Guy has 20 catches in 12 games but 8 for touchdowns. Very strange.

Man goes practically unused most of the year by Hamdan and Co. He and Wilcox having to be forced to get some touches are what made me go for a big Hamdan guy to a I'm done with him. That and his complete blind spot to using the 10 yard segment of the field.
I would imagine very few of us on this board believe that…. Mitch probably does unfortunately…… or if he doesn’t, his hands are tied thanks to that fat-ass contract he gave Stoops two years ago.

What WR would want to play in this offense? If you have aspirations to play in the NFL, it will be hard to impress scouts on a Stoops team. Wan'dale made the league, but he was catching throws from a future NFL starting QB and was option #1, 2, and 3. Wan'dale also was playing under an OC that is now in the same position in the NFL.
This. Fire Bush and give the OC job back to Gran and find a good online coach. Go back to inside zone running with zone blocking and pound the rock. It is apparent that UK doesn't know what a forward pass is or can even complete enough of them to be a factor in a game. Screw pass catching TE's just find another OT to play in the TE spot.
I think Dane Key played hard most of the time too. I don't know what the eff Barion Brown was doing out there. At least he made one great play against Ole Miss.
Unless I've missed it which is possible, this is the only place I've seen this reported. Do we know Maclin's leaving?
