Wolford hasn't exactly distinguished himself at Bama with all the talent they have. Young's escapability last year covered up for an average OL and this year's unit isn't any better.

Wolford was born in Youngstown and was formerly the HC at Youngstown St. In 2010 Wolford hired Ron Stoops, Jr., onto Youngstown St's coaching staff. Mark Stoops has known Wolford for a long time. But I am fairly sure Wolford burned the bridge when he left UK. Wolford privately accepted the AL OL job before he told Stoops. As a result, he was briefly traveling to visit prospects at UK's expense while pitching AL to them. Under the rules, there are certain impermissible recruiting activities, although not very many unethical recruiting activities. What Wolford did was dishonest and unethical. And he has done a lousy job at AL. When they played TX, AL's OL looked huge and slow. TX's speed rushers were running past AL's OTs with ease, and it cost AL the game. Maybe Wolford can find an NFL job, but I suspect he is done at AL after this season.

Being that I'm related to Freddie and know him, I can tell you he'd laugh at being held as an irrefutable beacon of knowledge on UK football. He'd tell you he's just a fan. He's a fan like all of us.
