Isaac Humphries' 'amazing' development key for UK

Well, he is our only player really attacking rebounds with both hands consistently. I'll be glad to see him start taking more jumpers to draw the defense out some.

I am glad that he is a Cat. It is fun to watch a young man like him develop. He will surprise some opponents in the SEC Tourney. Go Cats!!

The A game was huge for him. He played huge in big spots. I hope his PT keeps going up.

Our rebounding is going to be unreal next year. Hes going to be a great one before he's done. Seems like his work ethic is strong and his physicality is already showing.

I hope some of these guys struggling for minutes take solice in Willis's breakout.

Humphries might be a full time starter 2-3 years from now.

Depending on who stays/goes Willis could be in a spot to start next year.

People always say kids will get recruited over, but everyone's getting a chance to earn PT.

Hump might be declaring for the draft next year. A seven footer who has soft hands and can shott from 15-18 feet out? Sounds like a lottery pick to me.

Really just depends quite honestly. I could see cal starting 4 freshman and Willis next year.

Sucks to hear that he started to wonder if he was in the right place, but for his sake (and ours), I'm extremely glad to hear he fought his way out of those feelings. He could be a very big piece of our stretch run.
Agree, but how could he not wonder,he didn't see the floor for a month.Sometimes I think we (Cal included)don't really know what we have on the bench.

Good read. I think he's a gem of a person. Looks like going to be a pretty good player up ahead too. He's liable to really blossom in playoff games. He feels a part of it all now.

He looks noticeably thinner than a few months ago. Great feel for the game. I won't be the least bothered if Bolden goes elsewhere.

Seems like such a good kid. I'm going to enjoy watching him for the the next year and a half at least. Hope he can make it to the league for sure

He has definitely lost weight. He is now more mobile, but still needs to work on his defense. But we can get by with average defense from him for now, as long as he keeps rebounding! Seems like a great kid and I'm glad he got the start on Tuesday.

His lateral movement is not good on D but his positioning and holding ground on drivers is excellent. He got two fouls last game that were pretty much textbook.

Offensively, he has very good potential and simply needs game experience with success to gain that confidence. Defense is where he struggles and is the reason he sits. His lateral quickness is not good and in our aggressive man to man with switching everyone, he is simply not good enough. A&M was a good match-up for him, lots of bigs. Smaller, quicker teams with good guards are the teams he will not match up with well and consequently, not play much.

I think there is a lot more potential with Humphries - as someone said, he has a great work ethic: look how much he's slimmed down. He seems to have great hands, and a nice touch. With more practice and real game experience he could be pretty darn good. Same category as Cousins, KAT or AD? No - those guys are pretty rare. But better than Harrelson, I think. And no doubt, a fan favorite

When he has a few good games back to back and sees he can compete he will be off to the races. He has a nice outside shot and he gets in there after the rebounds and he has just turned 18 so he can do pretty well if he works hard.
