Jim Cornette said they are doing a premiere of that ‘Queen of the ring’ movie at the AMC storybook. How small was this movies budget that they got stuck with THAT theater?
Wonder if this is kayfabe or about the error-filled lawsuit Ryan Nemeth filed against Punk, TK, and AEW.
The star of the movie is Emily Bett Richards, whose barely done anything in the last four years, and her claim to fame is a supporting actress on a CW TV show. So I’m going with pretty darn low.
They rented the Palace to shoot scenes there, figured they could do a premiere there as well. Unless they’re going for an unwashed atmosphere like the smoky bingo halls of lore, in which case storybook is perfect
Wouldn’t you say this is one of the weaker Mania build ups in recent memory? I know it’s not even March yet but definitely feels like it compared to the previous decade.
She’s been saying something about people approaching her in person with romantic intentions. It’s kind of broken English but yeah stalker shit. Alexa Bliss has had to put up with it too.
Big Show was impressed with how many times the rock turned heel/babyface on Friday.
I don’t know if this is some new thing but once is too many times - it’s beyond normal or acceptable.
I used to hate celebrities that wouldn’t do autographs or take pictures because it came across like they were too good for the plebs. Now I feel like unless you’re at an event where there’s a signing or something anything other than a ‘hey big fan!’ And a handshake is over the top.
I saw it first hand at the 1998 Final Four. My family and another family were eating at a restaurant on the river walk the afternoon of the title game.
Kevin Costner walks in and is seated near us. My mom was a fan girl, but knew that he was just trying to eat and wasn’t going to approach the table.
In less than 2 minutes the table was swarmed to the point Costner and his guests had to get up and leave. I felt bad for him. I’m sure the money is great, but not being able to be a regular person anywhere would get old after a while.

Just read the Ryan Nemeth lawsuit. This will not help his career at all.
Imagine if a territory worker did that in 1984.
Nemeth left out the part about how he ran his mouth about Punk online prior to the confrontation. New generation didn’t grow up in the “talk shit, get punched in the mouth” era and it shows. I’m not advocating for violence, but as someone who’s taken a fist to the mouth for something I said, I learned to think before speaking and if what I am about to say might get me punched, to prepare for those consequences.
I look for this suit to be quickly dismissed unless TK wants to settle quickly to avoid bad press.

Now you get people following them into the bathroom, waiting outside their homes, camping out at airports, sitting in hotel lobbies waiting, all with STACKS of crap to sign. Plus who knows when one of those wackadoos like the guy that attacked Seth Rollins is in the crowd

I saw an excerpt of the complaint (assuming it is accurate) that alleges Tony Khan ticked off everybody in the Jags org during his time in charge there, so his dad put him in charge of Fulham FC. After he ran that org into the ground his dad gave him the money to start his wrestling company, implying his father just wanted to get him out of his business.
I have never heard those allegations before. First of all, I have no idea how any of that would be relevant to this case, and second of all, I believe Tony is still very active in both the Jags org and the Fulham FC org, so none of that seems to be true at all?
I misspoke. I didn’t read the actual doc. I read SI’s rundown, which was lifted from the Fightful report. I checked the records in LA Superior Court and the doc itself isn’t available publicly.
From reading the rundown, there’s a couple factual errors. One says Punk left AEW Nov. 25, 2023, to wrestle for its main competitor. TK publicly said he’d terminated Punk’s contract on the Sept. 2, 2023, episode of Collision.
I cannot speak to TK’s involvement with the sports franchises his dad owns.
If I’m AEW, TK, and Punk, I don’t even settle. The sued is so riddled with errors and trolling that any half decent judge would dismiss it.
