its a fair question at this point. not saying that wku would definitely beat them but you got to think it would be close and go either way. we are looking like the best team in the state right now by a pretty good margin and just trying to figure out if you guys thought brohm had already passed bob.

I believe we will beat UL 5 years in a row at least starting this season....We are passing them up.

And it's about time. It's amazing to me that UK athletic directors let UK football become such a national doormat for so many years. Really disgraceful that we lost to UL so many times seeing that we are a SEC school and the state school.

No. We are still #1. We are only 3 plays away from being 3-0. Bobby is a genius. UK sucks. Our stadium will be bigger. WKU has never beaten ul.

Signed

We 'pose to be ACC.

Just a little FYI -- Florida-7 (KY-3) 2015 D1's:

UF 2-0 - SEC
(UK 2-0 - SEC)

FSU 2-0 - ACC
Miami 2-0 - ACC
(UL 0-3 - ACC)

USF 1-1 - AAC (beat ND in their house in 2011)
UCF 0-2 - AAC (beat UGA in the Liberty Bown in 2010)

Fl-Int 1-1 - C-USA
Fl-Atl 0-2 - C-USA
(W.Ky 2-0 - C-USA)

Note: I'm always happy to see my SEC brothers knock off any outsider team. :cool2:

Now that it seems as if Kentucky is taking football much more seriously (cautiously optimistic), losing to Louisville will more often than not be a thing of the past. I will be completely happy with that so some of our fans can move on and stop treating them as a rival to Kentucky. Kentucky has much bigger teams they should be worried about.

as a UK fan living in louisville you dont know how made that loss you had to ul a few years back made me. that being said all appears to be becoming right with the world and the eastern division should be back up to national power standards by next year.

Maybe and that is why it is imperative that UK beat UL this season. A loss to a good team doesn't hurt so bad, but a loss to a really bad team would kill any positive momentum. I fully expect UK to beat UL handily this year.

UL is number 1 until someone within the state knocks them off ... simple as that.
No Lukas, you're not counting... UL has lost, 1, 2, 3, games in a roll... They are 0-3 and they're not the best team in the state.. It sure sounds like a UL fan talking... I have to give you credit for speaking like a bird...

My concern is that we are getting way too cocky. We have not beat either Western or UL in several years. Let's get through this game before we starting talking shit please.

I agree that we are getting way to cocky. We had to hang on like a hair in a biscuit to finish both of our games. ULL isn't really a power house and South Carolina wasn't a ranked team who struggled the week before to beat UNC. While getting our first road SEC win since Justin Bieber was in diapers was great for us, it just means this team is better than some horrible teams we have had in the past. Time will tell. The good thing is we have Louisville on our schedule so we can let the field do the talking. Unfortunately, we took WKU off the schedule after losing to them. So at this point, WKU has some serious claim to number one in the state.

"Best in State" matters are best handled head-to-head, and we have ample opportunity on 28 Nov to claim the honors. Until then, the only think UL fans will say to us about State rankings is "44-40."
GBB!.....Beat Florida!

How is that? FYI, Louisville will have to beat NC State in Raleigh to avoid a 1-5 start. After their trip to Raleigh, road games at Florida State, Wake Forest, Pitt, and Kentucky will still lie ahead, and I'll bet UL loses 3 of those road games.

Speak for yourself. In July, I predicted 6 or 7 regular season wins for us. I am sticking with that, but I am leaning more toward 7 than before. While it will take some breaks, our chances to exceed that and win 8 regular season games have increased now because of the win over South Carolina. But it's a long season. All along, I have expected to beat UL on November 28. I believed that in August, and I believe it now.

Louisville vs western would be a good game. UK is better than both. If you can beat South Carolina on the road then you can definitely beat those two teams.
Also why do people keep assuming that Louisville will beat Samford in these threads? Poor Samford people assuming they can't beat a 0-3 team.

You & a few others do not comprehend very well... in state they've lost zero this year unless I'm missing something? IN order to be the best you must beat the best... so until KY beats them, they'll get their chance, you can't claim the #1 spot....

Whatever Lucas, ever wonder why the polls at the start of the season are not the exact same as the last one of the previous season?

For those saying "we" are getting too cocky... wtf does that mean? I love the people who think that message board fans have ANY bearing on a game whatsoever.

My other favorite -

"We need to stop discussing future games, the only one that counts is the next one."

Some of you guys think too highly of yourselves and this message board to think we make any contribution whatsoever when the game starts.

Besides, we all know what is going to be posted no matter the result.

We win:

Fanatic Group:
We are the greatest team ever, we will go undefeated.

Gloomy Group:
Our QB still sucks.

We lose:

Fanatic Group:
We suck, we will not win another game.

Gloomy Group:
Our QB really sucks, told ya.
