Is Levis a big time QB?

He can be.. just keep improving on the little things.. and he really has improved so much from last year.. he keeps that up, he’ll get there.
Manning at TN, had many a struggle.. people forget.

He definitely has the measurables: size, speed, arm strength, etc... But let's face it, QBs are made by what they do in big moments. Today he was terrible in big moments; 2 fumbles and 1 penalty that negates a TD. If he wants to be elite, he has to be better in big moments.
Idiotic post.

He's not perfect but he's a gamer and has made us alot of plays. He lays it all on the line to win games. He fumbled but on one of them he got knocked sideways and the guy punched it out...on a play thats targeting probably 75% of the time and the other really wasnt his fault. Our freshman OT got beat and the guy made a play on Levis....he had just thrown a touchdown pass the play prior. Also, he didnt miss a fg, he didnt miss an PAT, he didnt give up a blocked pAT, He wasnt out of position allowing a 50+ yard touchdown run......he did take the key sack in the endzone but he lead us down the field twice to win and it just didnt work out.

Sometimes it takes a little luck along the way....it just didnt work out today.

I dont beleive he is bigtime but the guy is solid. The way we play a game doesnt allow for explosive offense.

He's a big time NFL prospect. He is not a big time college QB. He's still improving and shown major strides from last year. Just has a long way to go still yet.
This, I certainly wouldn’t pick him at a top draft pick. He won’t be ready to contribute right away.

I see him as a guy like Jake Locker, great measurable and can throw the ball a mile but never 100% puts it together. The great QBs live for situations like yesterday at Ole Miss. 1 drive to win the game.

The safety and the two fumbles yesterday hurt his stock. The safety really did. You have to get the ball out there. Period. And if you can’t. You get the hell out of the end zone. QBs should never be the cause of a TO and 2 points like that.

The first fumble wasn’t entirely his fault. But a scout will look at that and go “he should have slid, dangerous dive”. Will could’ve been severely hurt there. In the NFL you cannot do what he did there. MLBs are waaaay faster and bigger. They will lick their chops to hit a QB on a play like that. And they will hurt them. He’s gotta learn to protect himself. He isn’t Superman. And that kind of stuff will end his pro career.

The second fumble, while again not completely his fault, was due to him holding on to the damn ball too long. They’ve been blitzing all day. You know your OLine is iffy. Get the ball. Get it out. Even Stoops said it.

He is too stubborn and bullheaded. He wants to help his team win I get that. But he’s trying to do too much. He still has the potential to be a solid QB in the pros. But he’s got to clean up that kind of stuff. Two fumbles and a safety will not get you PT at the next level.

He is a big time QB.

He did go into Adrian Martinez Nebraska mode at the end of this one.

If he happens all the time, like Nebraska Martinez, then that will change.

QBs get more credit, and blame, than they deserve.

The thorn in his side is the clock in his head. He has gotvto getbrid of the ball. There aren't many times were you can say one player lost his team the game, but Will did today.

That is exactly his weakness. Big, fast, strong arm, but at this point he doesn't have that built in clock that says get rid of it. To play in the league he has to develope that ability.

Having seen Levis and Dart previously if I were told pregame that one of those guys would try to do too much and would hurt his team's chances of winning, I would've said Dart hands down.....and been wrong. I don't know if Levis is "big time" but I do know if he doesn't step it up UK won't get above 7 wins. There are plenty of question marks on this team, plenty of holes to fill, plenty of correctable mistakes to fix but Levis should be the easiest to correct. Eliminate the physical errors and the mental errors will follow.

Ole Miss is the second best team UK plays this year and UK almost got them at their place despite playing a totally shitty game. Clean up the self-imposed errors and win games. It had better start with SCAR Sat night.

Why did he just stand there like a statue in the pocket. Especially when it was collapsing. I thought he was supposed to be a mobile QB. Why didn't he use his legs to buy more time?
