Honestly who cares if he is or not. I don't wish bad for the kid and don't want anyone hurt but the fact is he is clearly not lived up to the hype.
I predicted 3 weeks ago that Edwards would get an injury. Protection Cal 101.
I'm waiting for Cal to say that Edwards has been battling some type of injury all season in order to enhance his draft stock and give the scouts a reason for Justin being so pedestrian this year.

It seems obvious that Cal does not like to play with a full roster. One guy comes back, one guy sits out, one guy comes back, two guys sit out.

Smart money would be that Edwards saw his minutes dwindling, and his draft stock plummeting and figured he'd be better off not playing any more.

Very possible, but I don't know how probably it is. He's been struggling, we can all see that. He needs less playing time, we can all see that. Maybe he has something minor that they don't want to turn into something major?
Either way, still needed him. We didn't need him for 22 minutes, but maybe 8 minutes per half could have made a difference.

Could not care less. Edwards was a total whiff by the "experts" who assign rankings to kids in high school. Kid is a bust in terms of being a sure-fire top 5 recruit mentioned as a potential NBA #1 pick.

I'm just glad that people around here finally came to terms with it after MANY kept saying it very early on ... you just needed to look at his body language, movement with and without the ball, inability to dribble, bone-headed passes, matador defense standing straight up, inability to take contact, missed lay-ups, missed dunks, and the list goes on. Got really tired of the "you're just not patient enough" ... he's 20 years old, friends. He's not 17 or 18. He is who he is.

Z was available in the 2nd half to give guys a breather, but Cal said no............ they guys who sits on our sidelines is not a coach but rather a businessman.
Z doesn't really fix the same situations Edwards does.
Edwards at the 3 lets you sit Sheppard, Reeves, Dillingham for stretches. Z doesn't do that.
Now, we should have used Z and Bradshaw a little more to spell Ugo and Mitchell.
I never thought I'd be worried about his availability, but here's hoping he can go on Saturday.

Z gives Mitchell a breather plus who knows, maybe he makes a shot or 2 and prob gives us more than Bradshaw- Edwards has given us nothing all yr

We literally needed a guy to run up and down the court so the others could rest for a few minutes here and there. Edwards could have done that.
Cal needs to quit working for the league and start working for the University that pays him. Who knows the league may be paying him more.
We stuck by Justin Edwards and he’s starting to turn it around now.
I really think Edddie was out of basketball shape for whatever reason and is getting it going now. HUGE piece that could help take us deep in the tourney.
