I agree. Z would have been a lottery pick under Pope. This offense is perfect for him. Pope would have let him launch about 5 threes per game and Z's passing from the top of the key would have been elite.

He would’ve played a role exactly like porzingis plays for the Celtics offense. He just would’ve taken this offense to the next level.

CBP had no clue how to coach or utilize Big Z last season. Yanked him from games when Z shot threes, and repeatedly made Z start out (and stay) in the paint like an old-school 5. Something close to criminal last season.

To his credit, even can’t-coach CBP has finally figured out that Big Z is a prototypical Euro big who starts out outside. Duh, he’s a seven-foot Croatian 🤷🏻‍♂️
