Intentional sabotage

What is more un-American? To believe in a conspiracy theory , or to quash someone trying to talk about a conspiracy theory? Those soldiers die so you can ignore the first amendment there J. EDGAR. ( NOT CHOSEN AT RANDOM BASED ON THE Feds abuse of social media)
If it's Qanon conspiracy theory, it's a domestic terrorist conspiracy theory. To quote Cal, y people are vrazy

So you're perfectly okay with silencing opinions you don't like. Gotcha chief!

I doubted him after his first year. Sorry to prove you wrong. I have no feelings about the man at all and had none 13 years ago. I just doubted he was the guy because of the way he handled that team. I talked to the players, coaches, staff, and trainers quite a bit that year.

2012 was a wonderful surprise to me. Thought we were turning a corner that year as a program and making a run like great UK teams have.

We had some great seasons after that, but coaching cost us. There's not many people that will disagree with that. Changing your entire season philosophy and strategy in the final four of all places is not something ANY great coach would tell you to do at the beginning or middle of ANY season. Yet this coach did just that.

He hasn't done anything but 2nd guess and not follow through since then. The only thing that has happened to this team since the Bahamas is Cal. They look like they're scared, timid, unconfident, and overwhelmed and it's not because of the fans or the players, and not because of their opponents.

It happens every year like this now. Whenever we play good teams or programs and in must win situations we wilt. What's the only thing that hasn't changed since 2016?

I'll hang up and listen
You may have doubted Calipari his first year..but I would argue that doubting 4 final fours in 7 years with a national championship makes you a Calipari hater. No worries... There were many that hated him on a personal and professional level.

There were many that never wanted him as the coach to begin with. But, from the jump, he was the right hire. Billy G fired...Calipari hired...John Wall on board... UK back in the conversation...immediately. You may not have liked the WVU result. You may not have liked the Noel injury. You may not have liked the coaching in the Wisconsin game. But the 7 year run wasn't by accident.

He is not the same coach in the last three years as he was in the first 7.

I am seriously starting to believe there is some element of truth to that theory.
I wouldn't go so far as to say intentional but I would say he has no passion for winning now. He's set for life and f'ing around in gyms to kill time before retirement. Time to hang it up Cal.
I think he's done and wants to retire, but he doesn't want to lose his millions in guaranteed money. So he is trying to suck as much as possible so he will get fired and collect a huge buyout, then ride off into the sunset.

Barnhart needs Pitino on speed dial. Suspend Cal with pay for failure to do his job and let the assistants take over. Bring Pitino in at the end of the season.

bigbluedon, you and College#19 made Message Board Geniuses. XD

All y’all saying he’s doing this on purpose are playing right into his hands. He’s not throwing games. He just can win them. When his time here wraps up, he’d much rather the perception be unreal expectations/bat shit crazy fan base etc instead of the fact that he could no longer get it done. Did you guys learn anything from Tubbys departure?

I always believed Calipari’s rivalry with Pitino was a large part of his motivation. When Pitino was forced out of Louisville, Calipari lost a lot of motivated him to succeed.

The "Bring Rick Pitino back to Kentucky" crowd physically sickens me. What a soulless characterless empty vassal of a human being you have to be to want that twisted man back at UK after all he's done... boggles the mind.

I often wonder if Cal off the court factors influence his decision making processes on the court. He has always been daft behind the mic, but his coaching decisions have grown increasingly bizarre. He either is utterly blind or has outside factors limiting the scope of his perception. Perhaps playing guys in certain ways and positions is necessary, he feels, in maintaining his recruiting networks.

It would explain the difference in how he communicates about certain players to the media. Cal couldn't help critiquing or backhand complimenting Willis and Allen, while at the same time not wanting to break some players hearts.

Making certain pitches/promises to players in their recruitment, maybe? Is that what you mean? I could see that 100%
