** Two of UK's higher rated recruits from last year's class, Brian Robinson and Jerod Smith, have had solid springs up front. I'm probably more interested this year in a couple of guys who are a year or two older and haven't had their breakouts yet but I've heard enough solid stuff about these two that I'm confident in saying it's been a nice arrival for them.

** Other standouts would include Dane Key, Barion Brown, Chip Trayanum, and Hardley Gilmore. Receiver room could be fantastic this year. At least that is the hope.

** Jantzen Dunn has turned some heads primarily at corner where he's pushing for the second spot but also at nickel. Seems like there has been a nice step forward early this spring. Good news because he's a great athlete.

** Deone Walker has been out for spring practice. Don't think anybody is worried about him for this upcoming season but while it might be a surprise to some fans, it doesn't seem to be too troubling for many.

** S Jordan Lovett is another player who has been out. I believe several key guys have been out for them this spring.

** Jacob Smith has also been out and will probably be out for a while longer.

** JUCO OL Anfernee Crease committed to SMU yesterday. I didn't think the visits he took to those Texas schools went too great, but someone did tell me that NIL could be a factor. He would have been a nice project for UK's program but wouldn't have been an immediate hit guy.

** TE Brody Lennon is a big-time target for UK. I know they also like Luka Gilbert and several others but Lennon would be a great flex TE option for them. He runs really well but is a capable blocker when he's in that position.
