The IU fans on Peegs seem unified on calling for Brad Steven's 1st. Then Chris Beard 2nd. From there it's garbled.
No way do I ever want to see Indiana relevant again. What UK fan supports that idea? Screw them and their horrible fans.
I really think he would’ve been the first call for us but the recruiting violations which were minor and we have Mitch Barnhart as Athletic Director.

And? He looks good, has a ton of energy and is at the top of his game. He and Oats are the best 2 coaches in the SEC. You don’t need a guy to coach 20 years. Rick Barnes is 6 years older and still coaching.

Doesn’t stop their lunacy with UK is afraid of IU, hillbillies, sister lovers bullshit. So I hope they suck from now to eternity. Oh and I graduated from IU and have never cheered for them. Born in KY, lived there for part of my childhood until we ended up in Indiana. Hate everything about those aholes fans and their sports.
There are currently 4 of what most would consider the historically top 5-6 programs that have former players as head coaches. Duke seems to be working out well while UNC and IU it's kind of been a disaster. We aren't far enough into the Pope era to see if it will work out for UK or not but I am hopeful it does. You would think after 2 failed attempts to hire a former player that UNC wouldn't touch another former guy with a 10 foot pole again.
Goodman said yesterday that Pearl would not go to IU. I had heard back when he was mentioned as a potential candidate for UK that he was staying at Auburn so he could make his son the coach in waiting. I believe he would have crawled to Lexington. The guy can coach.
According to Matt Jones he would have likely been the UK coach but Auburn wouldn't let UK contact him.
If I am Auburn, I wouldn't either. LOL! Auburn didn't want to go back to the Tony Barbee days.

Yes. Upsets happen. 2004 team was number one overall seed and loss to Squeaky Johnson. No one with a brain would argue that team wasn’t a title contender

I rest my case. We have a right to have different opinions but a criteria that has 2022 Saint Peters as a title contender moreso than the 2004 Kentucky Wildcats is interesting to say the very least.
Yes, upsets happen in the tournament all the time. That's why it's such a beloved event. "Survive and advance" is a motto in March for a reason and history is full of teams that would have been title contenders if they didn't get knocked off in a big upset in the first round. It's stupid to judge an entire season on size single elimination tournament.

Not comparing 2004 vs 2022. We haven't seriously competed since 2019 as on other poster mentioned
