Imagine how we would feel about this recruiting class if we had

Alex Stump, Luke Hiers, Darius Fullwood, Larry Wells, DaVon Hamilton, Jeremiah Dinson, Andrew Dowell, David Dowell and Montrell Custis.

That's 9 players total 3 4 stars and some really good 3 stars. That would be top 30 for sure and possibly top 25. It just wasn't our year. There were many things that were a factor in us losing so many but close don't count in recruiting and we have to find a way to get them signed.

So have we lost half of our verbal commits? Oh well, I did hear today that the Seahawks and Patriots have 22 players that were 2 stars or less when they went to their respective schools. I think they said both teams combined only had 4 5 star players. I hope we find some of those guys that are diamonds disguised as coal.

We are the right track though. The players I listed in order have committed to Ohio St., UCF, Virginia Tech, Purdue, Ohio St., (leaning) Auburn, Michigan St, Michigan St. and Alabama. Most believe we let Hiers and Wells go. So if you take UCF and Purdue off that list it's nothing but major powers of college football.

Imagining is all we have...Damien Harris ripped our hearts out & the Dowell twins stomped all over what was left.

Imagine how wed feel if wed gotten harris? If we had, there would be a buzz and wed likely not have lost all these recent guys...needed to win a coupke more last season.

We don't really have to imagine as we knew how we all felt when each of those players pledged their commitment to the BBN. I am pretty disgusted with the whole recruiting process right now. I understand a player here and there but to have 9 decommits is just unnerving. Some of these commits were since the end of the season as well, the dowell twins, if not mistaken for example, so the 6 game losing streak to end the season cannot be pointed to in their case.

Bottom line, they should quit allowing players to throw verbals around and quit playing games with multiple schools. Likewise if schools offer a scholarship to a player they likewise should have an obligation to honor that commitment to the player. I realize it goes both ways but pretty crappy thing to do no matter which direction it is coming from.

Until you know for sure where you want to go keep your mouth shut and your recruitment open. If I were a head coach under the current system and a committed player continued to take visits elsewhere I would pull the offer and move on and each player that committed to me would know that ahead of time.

Drink the Kool Aid much? Wells was said to be UK's top priority at OL this year and we let him go? Not buying it.

I'd actually be disappointed if UK held onto Luke Hiers and Larry Wells. Both guys had performance issues this year which is why UK parted ways to begin with. Darius Fullwood was the same way and Jason Strowbridge was an upgrade despite recruiting rankings. DaVon Hamilton and Javon Provitt are a push if you look at film, regardless of what ranking says. Now losing the others guys hurt. It hurt that the Dowell twins and Jeremiah Dinson and Alex Stump is gone.

Saw Larry Wells play in the Ohio playoffs last year and this year. They knocked my alma mater out of the playoffs two years in a row. Larry Wells was a beast both years. You can rationalize all you want but this was a big loss, Kenton has a great high school program. Maudy Mauck (sp), QB from Missouri, is from Kenton.

I'm pretty sure Luke Hiers was asked to move on after he worked out...

No offense to you, but so tired of hearing this fact. Especially since with the grade inflation, no one's a two star player anymore.

....and dropping him helped us land the #1 center in the 2016 class
