Were the comments regarding the QB competition merely "coach speak" or was the competition between Towles and Barker really that close? Some have suggested that the real reason that Towles won the competition was due to "off field" issues with Barker. Mobile Cat strongly suggested that this was the real reason & that some players as well as the coaching staff feel that Barker has not demonstrated the necessary responsibility to be given "reign" of the offense! If this is true,(?), how long will he have to defer to the dictates of teammates & the coaching staff?
