1. Our peers wouldn't have considered Pope
2. He has 2 big holes in his resume with post season success and recruiting
3. Mitch wanted something drama-free and easy for his last year or 2 on the job
4. Mitch is much more of an academic administrator type of AD than a cut-throat, win at nearly all costs type.
Hopefully this works out and I am looking forward to hopefully some entertaining basketball.
