Don’t know anything about him, but Illinois was decent this year.
It’s not necessarily my ideal style of play, but if we’re going to use tight ends primarily as extra linemen instead of receiving threats anyway, maybe getting some guys like this makes more sense than trying to use theoretically capable receiving tight ends in that role. I doubt we signed him for his receiving skills.Only caught three passes for 20 yards? Strength is suppose to be blocking and has great size for a TE. Perhaps he can get stronger at UK and catch a few more passes?
NO. More like a sixth offensive lineman. He is a blocking TE, you do have to have those you know. Don't you ?So another bench warmer
He is a blocking beast at 6’6” 270lb. Bringing back the Big Blue Wall DaysHope he can block cause he won’t be catching
We have to be able to run the ball effectively because through 12 years, we are still allergic to the forward pass.He is a blocking beast at 6’6” 270lb. Bringing back the Big Blue Wall Days
A TE catching passes at UK? Ha...what drugs are you on man?Only caught three passes for 20 yards? Strength is suppose to be blocking and has great size for a TE. Perhaps he can get stronger at UK and catch a few more passes?
And Beleima is a run guySaw article earlier that said he got single digit snaps each game 2nd half of year at Illinois. Woohoo! Great addition!
Just keep dreaming.A TE catching passes at UK? Ha...what drugs are you on man?
This player is being brought in as a blocker, what they get from him in the pass catching dept is gravy.
Nothing wrong grabbing a road grading TE (a role I thought Lemaster would grow into) to compliment Kattus, Rodriguez and Skinner. At that size and with Keenum now in the portal might see if he can snap a bit as a 3rd string emergency C...lol.
That room needs depth. Rodriguez is the future star. Kattus is the old man. And, Skinner is the guy who may be able to spread the field and lineup at WR. We have taken depth in the portal before. This appears to be just that.
Me too brother! Couple of hog's head biscuits and a pan of gravy would go nicely 'bout now!!I just read the word “gravy” and began to drool. Love me some gravy!!
You might have a winner, though I'm not assuming either way.If hes 270, might be worth seeing if he can gain more weight and slide to ot.

Boyer is a big boy alright, he looks like he can play. You ever notice that when we do have an incoming transfer it's always noted he will have one years or two years of eligibility left, like that means anything. That part of the sentence is worthless, hell most everybody now stays one year and bolts. Gone are the days of somebody playing more than one year for the most part, when they transfer here.
He doesn't have to catch many passes if he's a good blocker, surely, we didn't sign a guy who can't do anything. For a guy who “looks like he can play” he sure didn’t play.
He’s a benchwarmer. Just like the rest
He will play a lot. I expect a heavy run offense this coming season. So another bench warmer

Put 30 lbs on him and put him at tackle6-6. 270 pounds
That could help some goal line situations.
Can’t do anything but play golf and hit it long. Need NIL cash. That’s was his resume I’m the man who can’t do anything😁He doesn't have to catch many passes if he's a good blocker, surely, we didn't sign a guy who can't do anything.
Never said I supported Stoops. Just stated Boyer will play a lot. And?
I’m sorry but if you’re still supporting Stoops at this point you’re part of the problem.
Skinner and Rodiquez will be the primary pass catching TE. Boyer and Katus will be used primarily as blockers. Skinner and Rodiquez split out wide too.Isn’t that what Kattus is for?
Why have two poor receivers TE…
Plus Rodriguez is more then big/strong enough to be a good blocker…maybe if we had a legit coach we’d develop him before he transfer
Agreed that is how it will work out…but there is no reasons that Rodriguez isn’t a combo block and pass catcher TE. He’s more powerful than KattusSkinner and Rodiquez will be the primary pass catching TE. Boyer and Katus will be used primarily as blockers. Skinner and Rodiquez split out wide too.
He played a lot of snaps for a decent Illinois team. Again, he is a role player. He is and will primarily be a blocker. He is basically a 6th OL. If we had a better OL we wouldn't need 6 guys to block 4.Any other 2nd/3rd stringers from non powerhouses available?
Surely if they didn’t see the field at Illinois much they’ll be a homerun for us.
